ping i3 17 deg 5 wood graph reg

Summary:
This is just the finest golf club I have ever had in my hands. It has wonderful static balance which carries over into a wonderful dynamic balance.
I tend to know where the clubface is at all times during the swing. I find the club as easy if not easier to launch than a hybrid. Distance is a bonus with this club. A rare gem.

Ping i3 5 wood

Summary:
Picked up this used 5 wood with a proforce 65 s flex shaft in it for 7.00. What a steal. This club does everything that I want it to do. It fades, draws, and hits straight. I can hit it about 230 and it has really good feel. Shaft and head combo really turned out good.

I3 Strong 3 Wood 13 Degree

Summary:
I bought my Ping I3 13 degree strong 3 wood 6-7 years ago on Ebay and quickly followed up with the 5 and 7. The Strong 3 is my favorite "go to" club, because I can consistently hit a nice fade about 190-200 yards from just about any kind of lie imaginable. Just last week I drove the green on a very short par 4 at a municipal course, leaving an 8 foot putt for eagle. When it comes to inspiring confidence in one's game you can't do much better than this fairway wood.

The only drawback to this club is the same with all Ping woods of this era-it's second only to the SI3 as one of the ugliest woods Ping has ever made, but since I don't buy clubs for their asethetic appeal it's not an issue for me.

Ping i3 5 wood

Summary:
I have to to agree on both points here. I have demo'ed this club a few times and finally decided to buy one used. I picked it up for $50 and immediately took it to the driving range. I loved it, I was consistently hitting the ball about 225 yards off the ground and straight everytime (which is a miracle for me). I thought that I had found my cure to being horrble with a 3 iron. That was until...it broke. I didn't hit the ground and I hadn't in any of the other 20 - 30 hits. I hit the ball clean and the head went flying. I was able to get my money back, but was told that it cannot be fixed because Ping no longer makes the peice that broke, go figure. So, I will say that I loved this club...until it broke. Will I buy another one? No. But I will be looking for something as similar as possible because with that club, I hit about 20 of the best balls of my life.

i3 5 wood

Summary:
I purchased the i3 5 wood used. Has standard Ping shaft, regular flex. I have been thru a fair number of fairway woods and hybrids and have hit many of them fairly well, but my consistency with the i3 5 wood has helped my game. I play the same 3 courses for most of my golf, and have gone from shooting 98-102 down to the lower 90's, with an occasional dip into the high 80's! I look at a 98 now as a poor score. The main reason for this improvement is this i3. I hit this small headed club with a great deal of confidence, and the ball flies. I am on more par 4's in 2 than ever before. I've read a few not so favorable reviews about this club and they are plain silly. The guy who keeps knocking the heads off needs to stop hitting the turf so much!!! Hey, not all clubs are for everyone. But this one is for me.
