Summary:
I am a 16.9 hcp, that being playing golf (seriously) for about 5 years now. I am what you will describe as a conservative player (short but straight). I also have a good short game that really makes up for my lack of length/distance off the tee and on the fairway. I tend to shot a lot of bogeys, mixed with 3/4 par and one disaster hole. The main lacking part of my game is ‘hitting fairway woods off the fairway’ hence on long Par 4s and par 5; I mostly opt for my 6i, 5i or 4 (iron-looking) rescue. Fairway woods just do not work for me – I never get it right.

Well, that was until I was introduced to the old, discontinued TaylorMade Fairway Mid Rescue (not the iron-looking TaylorMade Rescue Mid but the wood-looking TaylorMade Fairway Mid Rescue). I have got the 3 wood (17 degrees), 5 wood (20 degrees) and 7 (23 degrees) – These club have a higher loft and shorter length than your normal 3, 5 and 7 wood. They sit nicely behind the ball which builds confidence and goes straight up in the air with a long carry and average roll – The key advantage is the accuracy. I came runner up in my clubs summer MatchPlay and won an hcp amateur competition in France, thanks to this club. Why did TaylorMade discontinued this model? Why wasn’t the product upgrade or replaced? - It works magic for me – I believe I have found the key weapon to reduce my hcp to 13. I can’t wait for the winter MatchPlay to begin.

Summary:
I've played the same steel shaft 17 & 20* versions for about 2-3 years now. I love these sticks off the tee, fairway, or rough. I don't think its accuracy out of the thick stuff is too good, but with a smooth easy swing it carries the ball far enough IMO, and the clubhead does glide thru the rough pretty easily. I don't know if it's classfied as hybrid or fairway wood, but the clubhead is bigger than all the hybrids i've seen, which generally equates to more distance compared to similar-lofted/shafted hybrids. It also means more conifdence at address, feels like you have a lot of room for error for the not so perfect moves. It's fun n easy to play a nice sweeping draw, it even lands soft. Haven't mastered the fade with it tho, but I don't practice it or find the situation on the course too much. The chip shot with the hybrid isn't exactly in my arsenal, so I' can't tell ya about its accuracy/feel in that department. I'd really recommend 'em for any common golfer of any skill level, they're easy to hit, versatile, long and probably a real bargain nowadays.

Summary:
I picked this club up cheap off ebay. I wanted to try a hybrid before investing much. I don't hit my long or mid irons well and I was looking for something to fill the distance gap between my 5 wood and short irons. This club is incredible. The head is heavy and cuts through tall grass well. The club works best when you hit down on the ball, like and iron. The shots are long and straight. I find this club much easier to hit than my irons and more consistent than my woods. It was definately a great value.

Summary:
This 7 wood is incredibly easy to hit and the sound is great. this 7 wood i can hit as far as my 5 wood. You can also get this club off ebay for about $40.This is the best fairway wood I have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!
