R7 St Summary:
The R7 st wood (non tp) was very disappointing. The feel was mediocre, the stock shaft wobbly. The clubhead did not feel one-piece, and lacked a solid feedback. The shape of the clubface does not seem right. The face area near the toe is taller than near the sole. Like the R7 driver, the R7 wood is average and relies on gimmicks and hype. The R9 wood is an entirely different story-- clean appearance and a solid performer. Customer Service:

Just picked up this 5 wood used not expecting much. First time I hit it was on the course not the range. I was surprised, how easy it was to get the ball up off the fairway. It was straight & consistent.

i purchased this club after demo-ing several fairway woods and, while i wasn't thrilled with it when i bought it, the numbers i was getting out of it were respectable. after owning it roughly a year, i hate it. the clubface has way too much bulge. i also think they lengthened the shaft to add more distance, but i think that makes the club more difficult to hit. i'm a decent ball striker, but i can't hit the broad side of a barn with this club. stay away! R7 St 5 fairway wood Summary:
Great club, reminds me of my old bubble shafted supersteel burner. Both steel face, get that nice "crack" sound when contacted. ReAx shaft, mid, and 70g's. Sets up sweet and is easy to hit out of the long grass. I'm not a long hitter by any means but this hits a nice consistent 200-205. Par usual change the grip to your favorite and swing away. R7 St Summary:
I have the 5W, Reax 70 Reg Mid Tip. It's a great club, swing steep and get great distance. Yet you can still sweep if need be, just don't get that pop re distance. This thing likes to be whacked. The steel face gives great feed back. Sound and feel lets you know when you missed, as if you didn't know! Change grip and it will serve you well. Customer Service:
