    Summary:
Nice course, dont think it deserves 4 stars though... there are some issues here. First off, on the first tee, you hit over an active road (cars ever 20 seconds or so). I'm surprised the course hasnt been sued, guaranteed some cars have been hit. Also the course condition isn't the greatest. Not bad, not great. Typical muni. A lot of nice holes, though it could use some more bunkering & contouring. A good value.

    Customer Service:
    Polite staff.

    Summary:
Shennecossett has made leaps and bounds in recent years thanks to the new head greens keeper. While some holes still have drainage issues as a whole the course’s condition year round is fantastic. The overall layout of the course is good for all abilities as most holes have multiple ways you can attack them. During the summer the long fescue that boarders most fairways truly punishes errant tee shots so staying on the short stuff is a must. The greens are quick, firm, and many are crowned which can make strokes pile up quickly. Some of the green side bunkers are diabolically deep and getting out cleanly can be a true challenge, but most are fair and in good shape. Over all this is a great course and even though it has been changed quite a bit over the years still maintains its great D. Ross feel.

    Customer Service:
Always good, great bar and food.

    Summary:
Played this course numerous times over the years.
Positives: Links-style, Donald Ross design. Interesting layout. Course maintained pretty well tee-to-green. Some challenging holes, some scenic holes (view of Thames River). Affordable. Friendly staff, great restaurant.
Negatives: Some holes have drainage problems and stay muddy after a rain. Greens get pretty hard in the hot weather, forcing you to roll it on. Bunkers are inconsistent, often hard. Mix of skill levels --> pace can be slow and not really policed at all.

    Customer Service:
    Very friendly, helpful.

This is one of the more interesting and subtle couses I've played anywhere. It's just fun to play a D. Ross course. It's one of my favorites.
