Summary:
I used to have a set of these irons in the chrone finish and regretted selling them so hunted for a set again.I found a set of the gun metal finish had them reshafted with rifle FCM shafts...i will never get rid of these irons..they look a nd feel fantastic..more forgiving than you think... i dont think there is a forged iron on sale today that can better them...

forged irons i have tried...mizuno mp57, titleist AP2, macgregor...these all felt harder than the cleveland...tried ben hogans.. very good..but the gun metals have it in the looks department by miles and the feel is superb..hunt down a set and buy them..you won't regret it.

cleveland ta3 form forged

Summary:
ive had my ta3s since 2001 and have yet to find a reason to change them for a new set. in fact ive ive just managed to find a 2 iron on ebay, so im adding to the set eight years after i got them
these clubs are true classics forgiving, playable, good looking,
the guy who altered the lie on my set(who happens to be a master club maker)told me i wont find a better set of irons even now in 2009
i agree, you grow into a set of irons,
if they are in your bag for more than a year or two, stick with em .
i reckon my ball fight was a little higher and a hair shorter with the ta3s
but that suited me fine ,
its true that they feel great when your timing is in sync.
im amazed that the prices i see quoted for a used set on the net these days they are selling at what is nothing more than a bargain
get your self a set!

Cleveland Ta3 Gun Metal

Summary:
I have had my set of TA3s from new and never played better. A cracking set of true golfers irons.
The ball is framed perfectly at address with no glare from the sun.
True touch and feel is superb with the ability to work the ball and execute a true golf shot unlike other irons on the market which feel as though you have an iron girder in your hand with the touch, feel, aesthetics, grace and elegance of a shovel.

TA3 Form Forged (3-6) Irons

Summary:
Very good irons, but you need the swing and athleticism to be able to hit them well. I play often with my father, who is in his mid-50s and he cannot hit them at all. For those with the ability, however, I feel that these are the best cavity-back irons that cleveland has ever made. Also they can be purchased used for a very reasonable price. Overall, a great club for a young player who wants irons that will help him get better but doesn't want to break to bank in the process.
