Cleveland CG Gold Irons Review

Cleveland CG Gold

Description
The CG Gold is an all-ability iron perfect for the player who wants to maximize forgiveness while still maintaining a solid feel in a traditional head design. High and low handicappers alike are drawn to this club's performance. Gelback Technology provides a soft feel even on mis-hits while Micro-Cavity Technology (MCT) improves the center of gravity for stability and control.

Summary:
I just bought these clubs. They were never used and I paid a great price for them. I was shooting 9 in the mid 50's. I have played these twice and shot a 45 both times playing 9. These seem like great irons for someone just starting out who wants to improve there game!

Summary:
Just got a set of CG Gold Combo with grafite shafts, 3 and 4 are hybrids. I was playing with Callaway BB irons and was inconsistant. Played the CG gold's twice and already I can see an improvement. The irons feel lighter and for me they are very easy to hit. Don't really know the technical reason why but they work for me and would recommend them.

Summary:
Nice set of irons I have used them for around 6 months now and have been impressed so far they feel effortless to hit due to the gel inserts which really do work and give the clubs a nice look I was shooting in the 120s a few months ago and am now in the mid to high 90s mainly due to improved iron play

Good points -
Gel insert
Look at address
Feel
Price (I got mine for £140)

Bad points-
5 iron would be better if hybrid for high handicapper
Thin sole

Good set of irons that I would reccommend also if you can get them at a good price look to get a few hybrids aswell

Summary:
Excellent choice outperforms all other irons, and I have tried a few. Easy irons. Don't let all the hype from the others club makers lure you in to paying more. These are well worth $1000 if that were the case.

Summary:
I've bought the Cleveland CG7 set which replaces the CG Gold. Set is 4-PW. These irons are fantastic, I really love them. They feel gear when hitting the ball and the forgiveness factor is great. I can work the ball with draws and punch shots.
I tried other irons before eg Taylormade Burner and R7, King Cobra SZ and Yonex VMX. The CG7 was miles better than any. The feel and forgiveness. At address the club inpires confidence.
