MPF Half Cavity

Summary:
I recently picked up a set of these, 3-AW for $40 on Ebay. I have played with them for several rounds, and am very impressed. The feel is very soft, very like Mizuno forgings. Yes, they are offset, but that is not a reason to grade these down, if you don't like offset, don't get them!! Cubic Balance has been out of business for some time, so it is hard to find a set, but they are usually cheap when you do. I think they are outstanding forged irons, super feel, very accurate, and pretty forgiving. The knucklehead who reviewed them and said they were poor feeling and unforgiving was nuts on both points. Factory S flex feels fine. Slight oversize is great. One thing I had to get used to was the lofts. They are old school, not the newer stronger lofts... so about 1/2 club shorter, but so what? I take another club, swing smooth, bingo. Great sticks... $40... Steal.

Everything... smooth feel like Mizuno or Hogan. Softer than the new Titleist or Clevelands.

Half Cavity Back

Summary:
This is a fairly expensive set of irons, but nevertheless, I enjoy playing with them. I have the Half Cavity Back model with a stiff shaft, and they are very forgiving, which is great for a beginner such as myself. I purchased this set from a local golf shop, and was suggested these clubs by the pro/scratch golfer there. He said that these clubs would serve me well for several years to come in the sport. These clubs have the best of both worlds. They have the control and solid feel of a forged blade (they are forged clubs), and the forgiving playability of a cavity back model. They take a very nice trajectory, and get very good distance.

mpf forged half cavity

Summary:
Sucks for a forged head. Way too much offset. Dissapointed. However very accurate. Not forgiving and heavy feeling. Loss of distance on minor misses is more than exceptable. Just glad i only lost $50 on a resale. They just didn't stack up with the other blades i have hit. The non cavitys look better and most likely are better. I flooking for forged stay away from the half cavity musclebacks. Hell, i wouldn't advise anyone to use these clubs. Golfsmith forged are much better. STAY AWAY!!!

Summary:
These are great irons. The ball jumps off the face and takes a great trajectory. I highly recommend these clubs for anybody just getting into the game. They feel great and you can't beat the price.
