Summary:
I'm just starting off with the game and needed a reliable, used set of irons to work on short chipping and pitching. The set I got at Golf Shack was brand new, except for the 5-iron, which was used a couple of times. The deep-cavity and perimeter-weighted design helped, but I was a little disappointed with the oversized club face. Even though they're larger than average, I didn't feel as though they gave enough surface area for forgiving mis-hits. I borrowed a set of Pings from a friend and was more satisfed with those. I visited a few stores and found oversized club faces by Pro Select and Top Flite that were slightly larger and had more lower center of gravity.

The RMS irons seem to be a dead product; I can't find any of them for sale, and the only review I could find on the web was the one on this page. The nice thing about them is they have a mark to show exactly where the "sweet spot" is, which might help out novices. They're also extremely light and the design of the clubs seem to absorb most of the force of impact. The previous reviewer mentioned these hit with extreme accuracy; he's probably far more gifted than I am, and I really need a set of forgiving clubs. These RMS irons, while pretty and gentle to the hands, just don't have the oomph! I'm looking for.

Great service at Golf Shack but I think they were trying to have me buy the Dunlops just to clear out their backroom.

Summary:
These are by far the best irons I have ever used.I mean,I'm no Tiger Woods,but these clubs provide me with awesome distance and deadly accuracy. If you asked me for a suggestion on irons that aren't very exspensive and are good clubs.I would lead you in this direction.

Dunlop "No Problem" LCG Irons

Summary:
These clubs are great for high-handicappers, and they're a great value as well. $95 at Wal-Mart! I tried the DCI 990s, but I'm not good enough to use those clubs, so I wanted to go with a perimeter weighted low center of gravity cavity back. I hit the callaway x-14 and it was really nice, but it was also $800. I paid 1/8 of that for a club that, in my opinion, feels and hits almost as well. My mis-hits are treated well, and they're light and easy to swing. I can now spend the $700 I saved on lessons and get better. Let's face it, for 95% of the players out there, the game is about hitting it straight and consistent, and these clubs really let me do that. Fine, they're not for scratch golfers who shape shots, but hell, I've been playing for 3 months, I couldn't shape a shot if I tried. The sticks aren't really going to have an impact unless you know how to swing. $95 on these and $700 in lessons will have my handicap cut in half in no time.
