PX-1 Silver Diamond

Summary:
This is the newer component head by Kent Sports, maker of the Alpha Reaction high quality heads... and are a clone of the G5 and Rapture series by Ping.

Great heads. I put them in a set of UST Tour Platinum 70 shafts, R flex, and the set is a huge winner. The heads I found for $8.50 each, did the 4-SW. Total with new Tour Wrap midsize grips, around $170.

These irons hit just great. A little light swing weight with the graphite for my taste, but a little lead tape took care of that. Ball explodes off the face with a great sound. Feel is outstanding, distance is very good, consistent distance differential between the irons. The graphite allows for a smooth swing, still providing the distance. The SW is a sweet stick for all shots around the green, and is great out of the litter. These heads when compared to my set of Raptures are VERY close copies. The Raptures are fabulous, BTW, but $170 vs. $600? You decide about the budget.

I recommend these highly, if you get some great shafts to go with the great heads. If you are looking to save a lot of cash, and want performance VERY close to the G5's or Raptures, these are it!

Customer Service:
Not used, but as Kent Sports gives a lifetime guarantee on their premium Alpha heads, I imagine it is very good.

I am a club junkie, and have hit everything. These heads are great performers, right in there with the G5's and Raptures.

Silver Diamond R4

Summary:
Got this set as a throw in during a sale... didn't expect much, but they caught my eye, as they have a very solid look and a very nice finish... look much like the 2004 Big Bertha irons. Bottom line, GREAT set. These are 1" long over standard, and seem to have a very heavy swingweight, probably D4, but I took 'em out today and hit them great... just loved the ease of solid contact, trajectory medium, and long. Really happy with them, can't wait till I get a chance to really dial them in... recently played Ping G5's, very nice and tried a set of Cleveland Hi-Bore, nice but not my cup of Jave... neither were better than the R4 irons. Heads cost $92 (3-PW) on the internet, so for around $150 with some decent shafts you will be set. BTW, these heads are made by Kent Golf, who makes the great Alpha Reaction driver heads! No wonder they are top notch. You will not regret giving these a go!!

Almost everything, and surprisingly, my second favorite set is also a knock-off, the Tour Equalizer Slingshot copy... great too! Save your money and play great!
