Summary:
These irons feel great. Solid when you hit them right and fairly harsh when you don't, which makes them play like blades. They are cavity backs, but the cavities are small as well as the heads. They have a softer feel and distance is average in my opinion. Look great from address with a very thin topline and you can only see the back of the head with the 1 and 2 irons. Have played these for less than a year, although they are very old clubs. I have heard Freddie Couples played these same irons back in the day! Great all around irons for the money.

Summary:
I bought my perimeter reinforced cavity-back Black Cat irons new in 1995 and have never considered another set of anything else. In the decade-plus since, I have gone from playing multiple rounds of 18 per week to playing three or four times a year and now have resumed playing at least once per week. Simply put, I expect these clubs to outlive me. The clubs provide excellent feedback on both good and bad hits, and you feel the good hits through your entire body. I used to swing very hard, but my back can't take that any more. Even with the flared steel shafts, I can still hit high, soft-landing shots without hurting myself. These clubs are long, but don't generate as much spin as some others I've played.

Customer Service:
The Black Cats with steel shafts do not have the same problems with heads coming off as their graphite-shafted counterparts, so Ive never contacted Lynx or Golfsmith for service.

Summary:
Beautiful irons. Very small faces - slightly larger than the Tommy Armor 845 Silver Scotts. This makes them difficult to hit centered in the sweet spot. Even though there is a cavity, they play and feel like forged irons. These are really made for the stronger golfer with a moderate to high swing speed, who has a very consistant swing. These are great off non-rough.. hard to get in the air out of rough. They also give a low trajectory ball flight. they're just ok..

Summary:
These black cat irons with the flare graphite shafts are really a good set of irons.I know they come apart once in a while but if fixed right they do not come apart.I am from penn. and this guy from blackhawk golf course fixes them right as i never had one come apart again.
