macgregor v foil go long Summary:
I have owned the 16 degree for two years and recently bought the 19 degree for $25.00. Both have the stiff graphite shaft that came stock. Prior to these hybrids I tried Taylor made,cleveland and Ping. None of the afor mentioned clubs can compare to the macgregor for versatility,playability, and of course most important,distance and control. The feel is amazing as well. Why macgregor discontinued this club is beyond me. Low and mid handicap players will love the ability to work the ball with this club and the high handicaper will enjoy the forgiveness and distance. This club is a real sleeper and can be had cheap on ebay and the quality of materials and build is second to none.

MacGregor Go Long 19deg. Summary:
I've played MacG 565 irons for a year and really love them. Was in Martin's in Myrtle Beach last week and saw this club in the clearance section for $14.95! Was carrying 20 and 23deg Nickent 3DXDC hybrids which I like but for this price, decided to give the Go Long a go. Wow, I thought the Nickents were easy to hit well! Now the Go Long is in the bag in place of the 20deg 3DX. These things are simply stupid easy to hit long and straight and have a way better feel than hybrids (they're forged). Can't be happier with my MacG's. Customer Service:

MacGregor Go-Long Irons Summary:
I’ve never been able to hit fairway woods very well but could hit fairway irons with confidence. Go-Long are two clubs ( 16° and 19°) from MacGregor Golf Company that look and feel like irons but go long like fairway woods. The shafts have more length than normal irons. The heads are more massive. The day I tried them they felt great to me. The day I bought them my game improved. I put away my 3 and 5 woods, and 3 iron which I traded for a 52° wedge. No more did I feel uncomfortable with long fairway distances—bring them on. The clubs were created in 2004-5 but have now been replaced by MacGregor’s new technology long fairway clubs that are claimed to have a larger sweet spot and look like fairway woods with midget heads. I have not been tempted to upgrade my Go-Long clubs because they still feel great and work great for me.
