Mizuno MP 57 irons

Summary:
Been looking at Mizuno for several years now. Finally bit the bullet. Boy am I glad I did! Was custom fitted using trackman and my fitting called for project X 5.5, standard length, one degree upright and one degree strong. Fitting shows six iron length of 184 vs. my old Titleist 690 .CB irons at 172 yards. My first three rounds have been 15, 15, and 16 GIR. Clubs feel like butter. I really like the pre-worn leading edge and cambered sole. Very difficult to hit a bad shot and most of all still has the traditional look. The project X shaft is an amazing piece of technology as well.

mp57 project x 5.5

Summary:
Having read all the reviews here, i decided to buy these off ebay. Loved the look of the forged blades at first sight until i hit some balls. The hits felt chunky to me. Maybe the shaft was too stiff for me. I couldnt get proper contact with the ball as i felt that the heads were a little light. So i thought my swing was off. Then i bought a set of blades off ebay(not nike) with S300 shafts n swoosh my balls were flying with the buttery feel.
I played blades from the beginning and thought maybe cavities would help my erratic golf game. Not!!!
Oh!well, at least i tried cavities. These are the 2nd ones. I hope you guys fared better than me.

MP 57

Summary:
I bought these clubs a week ago and man, was a great choice. I was hitting Nike Pro Combo with S300 and before that I was playing the MP37 blades. I new I needed to make the switch back to Mizunos. They have the S300 SL. These clubs are butter! Very forgiving and easy to hit.

MP 57

Summary:
Been looking at getting new clubs for some time. Demoed many types and loved the way the MP57s felt. Off center shots gave good feedback, but still traveled well. On center shots were like butter. I only thought I knew what a "right" shot was supposed to feel like before. I didn't experiment with shafts so I don't know if that would further improve my experience. I have the DGR300 which some suggest might be too "R" since I have a stiff shaft in my driver (~105mph clubhead speed). I think my iron speed is disproportionally slower than my driver though. Distance is still about the same (PW/125y; 8I/150y; 7I/160...) but I noticed my trajectory was MUCH higher (which I know some people don't like) on a teed up 7I and a little higher off the deck (compared to my only other set ever: Ping Zing). The weighting during a swing was very well balanced and built confidence. Looks good at address, too (irrelevant to me, but a nice perk since everything else works too).

The irons worked perfectly. If I could just learn to chip and putt now, I'd be shooting 70s easily on our difficult course. But the irons are no longer an excuse. Great performance. Tight groupings. Very consistent.
