Summary:
I love these irons. I recentaly bought a set of G-10's thinking that I should try something new. Well after all that money I found out that I just like my sures that much more. They are a great iron for any skill level. These irons are the real deal. I wish Mizuno would come out with something new that was just like them.

Mizuno T-Zoid Sure Irons

Summary:
Bought these irons with Dynalite R300 shaft about eight years ago. Haven't hit anything better. I recently put the 3 iron back in the bag and looking for a 1 iron. Just picked up another set on ebay for under $100.00. If you are lucky enough to find this set, buy it or pick up a single iron on ebay and give it a shot before you buy the set.
One of the stock shafts - true temper plus wasn't the best combo. I like the dynalite shaft, hits a high ball with good stopping power, even with distance balls. Using Rflex with a driver ss of 88-92mph

Mizuno Sure Irons

Summary:
I've had these since 2000 and still using them. Good combination of easy to hit and workability, but right now there's even easier to hit irons out there. Not as long as my buddy's Taylormade RAC's or Nike Slingshot. My friends that shoot in the mid 80's to 70's absolutely hate them. However, everyone I know that shoots in the mid 80's to 100's love them

Summary:
The best cast irons ever made.

Wild statement? Well, I have owned or tried over 100 sets of irons over the last 3 years. Yep, it is crazy, but I think I have the experience, even if way over the top, to judge an iron. Newer is not better.

The Sures have a players sole (narrow but with some bounce, unlike many of the older models which lacked bounce),and a game improvement size (mid-size). The top line is not thin, but is moderate and not clunky. The castings are top notch (not a big surprise being Mizuno's), have great feel and are hot off the club face. I prefer cast to forged, but that is just me. Spin is excellent, which was a bit of a surprise to me. Very forgiving, due to the added length from the toe to the heel.

These irons are very easy to hit, give great confidence over the ball, and are workable, if you have the skills to work it. This is, IMO, because the offset is less than many game improvement models. You can find many irons that can work the ball better (meaning fade the ball... anybody decent can hook an iron) but unless you are a very low hdcp, so what? Players in the 80's and 90's need to hit it straight and score well before worrying about "working" the ball too much, IMO.

Just because this model is what, 10 years old, does not mean that it is not a great design still. And the combo of a players sole with a mid-size head with minimal offset... outstanding!

Note: Nike came out with a similar concept with the Pro Combo OS... they, however, put the game improvement in the sole and kept the head small with minimal offset... another great idea... so if you LOVE forged, they are worth a look.

Yes a long-winded review, sorry, but I am so impressed with these Sure irons, I bought another set... first had Dynalite S300, second had R300 Dynamic Gold Plus with Sensicore (much better shaft).

The Sure's are hard to find, but still a few sets drift through Ebay. If you are still looking, before you spend the big buckaroos on a new model, try the Sures with a good shaft.
