Review Abstract
Consumers say the i3 O-Size irons from Ping are “wonderful” clubs. Hailed for their forgiveness, solid feel, high trajectory and great spin, they are “easy-to-hit” and “accurate.” The i3’s boast an “aggressive look,” and players have seen an immediate difference in their accuracy. One of the only drawbacks of these irons: they are expensive. However, reviewers say the "playability of the i3’s make them well worth the cost."

Ping i-3 O-size

Summary:
Although I replaced my much-loved i3 O-size irons this year with Ping G10's, I must say that the i3 O-size is an outstanding iron. I purchased mine new about 10 years ago and loved the custom fitting. I had the JZ Cushin shafts. Compared to the G10, the G10 is a bit more forgiving, gets the ball in the air easier, and due to the wide sole, resists fat shots when you are getting tired at the end of the round. Having said this, for distance, I don't think the G10's are any longer than the i3's. Anyone looking at the i3's on the used market will be getting a terrific iron. I played mine for about 10 years and I would still play them without hesitation. They still hold value very well compared to other brands, and the evidence of this is the selling prices on ebay for old Ping irons, such as the i3. If you are on a budget and don't want to plunk down serious cash for new irons, take a good long look at the i3 O-size, you will not regret your purchase.

Ping i3 o size

Summary:
I picked up this club in Feburary and have played many rounds with it. The reason why i got it is that i am left handed and it is hard to find clubs here. I love the feel of these clubs as i now hit the ball a whole lot better. They sound crisp and give me a sense of confidence. I use to use the tommy armour 845's and had difficulty letting those go. Overall these clubs are great.

Summary:
Really nice irons... I like most all of Ping's stuff... these are very straightforward... clean lines, great feel, very forgiving, accurate, spin is good, distance good, just very pleasant to play. If you are looking for a great set at a great price ($160, Ebay)that do everything you will need to make the game more enjoyable, this set is a great choice.

Ping i3 O Size

Summary:
I recently switched from Ping Eye 2s to i3s and have never looked back. These clubs offer a higher trajectory, have a classic appearance at address, and are one of the most forgiving irons I've ever hit. I'm 6'4" so I needed clubs that were more upright and longer than standard. I searched ebay for over a month until I finally found a steal on a set that fit my specs (green dot, 1" long) for $225. I even passed on a set of G2s because I felt this was an overall superior club. Take it for what it's worth, but I finally found a set of irons that will be staying in my bag for many, many years. Be sure to at least do the online web fit to determine what color code you are. It really makes a big difference.
