Powerbilt Citation II Irons

DESCRIPTION

The Citation II Irons, like its predecessor, are clearly in the breed of champions; these clubs feature all the newest innovations. The contemporary rounded blade is constructed of high-strength PowerMetal. A low center of gravity, helps get the ball airborne and the flow-weighted cavity allows for more forgiveness while still retaining feel. The oversized .395 shaft tips, progressive offset and PowerBilt designed grips, supplied by Golf Pride, are just icing on the cake.

I bought the Powerbilt Citation II on Ebay new for $75.00. I only bought these clubs until I could decide on several other brand name, high price clubs. I had planned on spending $500-$800 for a set of graphite irons but when I got these clubs I was amazed how solid they felt. I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the thinner look of the club as compared to todays irons but you soon let go of that after you have played a couple of rounds with these. With lessons, which I have to admit I took recently, I have dropped from a 12 handicap to a 8. I certainly have to hit the ball correctly but when I do it feels effortless and the results have equated to lower scoring. If you miss hit the ball, you will know it but more often than not, you will hit it well. Bought with graphite shafts, I still can't believe these are selling for such low amounts. I am not sure if I will now get any new irons. If I keep shooting in the low 40's why bother? I know I sound like a Powerbilt rep but believe me I am just another hacker who loves the game. If you run across a set of these, grab em. You won't be sorry.

Just had two complete workout sessions with these Irons down the range. First thing I noticed, stop dead georgous, not just the design but the hit. My balls stop and sometimes I get backspin, even on the worst of range balls. Now for me thats a 100% improvement in my game and all I have done is change the irons. Everything goes straight, in fact I can work the ball for the first time with these irons. On my last round with my old irons I broke my handicap by 3 strokes, these irons are going to get me into the eighties, they are that much more of a confidence booster and give me that control I need to keep straight and stop dead (if I want to). Recommended, especially as they are £299 irons at £80!

I picked these up on Ebay for $50.99 (amazing). I had been using PowerBilt Grand Slam irons. When I saw these I just had to bid on them even though I wasn't really in the market for a set of new irons. I had been very pleased with the Grand Slams. I was very surprised, but happy that I got them for the low price they went for. These irons feel great and are very well made, although the look took some getting used to after my old irons. They are much more rounded than I was used to. Took them out to the course for the first time to give them a whirl and on the first swing with them I hit a five iron dead straight at the flag and it checked up great about 4 1/2 feet in front of the pin. These irons really check-up well on the greens and are very easy to hit. I am really glad in a way that they don't have the big brand name recognition of some other brands (even though they are made by the same company that makes Louisville Slugger baseball bats), keeps the bidding prices down. I have great experience with PowerBilt clubs and will continue to shop for more.

I wasn't really looking for another set of irons but came across these on e-bay and for 63.00 clams I figured what the heck. Man am I glad I bought these. They are extremely easy to hit, long and straight. They take a little getting used to looking at as the design is a little different than most irons. After I hit them they looked awfully good. This is by far the best golf deal I have ever come across. If you get a chance to hit them I believe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Did I mention they also come with a lifetime warranty.
