Ram laser Original

Summary:
no place to put this review...
Original Ram laser "Target Seeking System" irons... picked up for 19.95 in xlnt condition, Ebay. These irons are as good as anything out there, still. Great FM shafts, great balance, feel, accuracy. Somewhat like the Ping Eye2 irons, but better feel and heavier swing weight. Fantastic!!

Customer Service:
The new Ram company sells crap.

RAM FX Nickel Oversize

Summary:
Bought on ebay one year ago for my wife. The shafts are the green RAM graphite, regular stiffness. They must be ladies clubs as each iron is 3/4 shorter that the corresponding one in my old PAM set. These irons are easy to hit high and straight, just like my old RAM FX Oversize (SS). Produces good results even with toe hits, less forgiving on heel; more distance forgiving than aim. Replaced the gribs with Golf Pride Tour Velvet immediately; stock grips felt flimsy.

Ram FX NickeL

Summary:
I bought a set of these irons off of Ebay. These are the real nickel irons, not the stainless irons that nearly every review in this section is reviewing. I think this is very important because the difference is immense.

These irons no longer available at proshops, so they will be hard to find, but as I have shown, they are still available, if your willing to be patient.

So why should you waste your time? Well, if your interesting in an extrodinary set of irons at a great price, then it's certainly worth your time. So why are these irons special?

Nickel!! Try and find a set a cast irons that are nickel. I've been playing pro-line Spalding stainless steel cast irons for the last 12 years. For 20 years before that I played forged clubs. I hated the small sweet spot on forged clubs, and loved the transfer to cast. Yes, there was a loss of feel, workability, and spin, but so consistant that it wasn't even a comparison. Not even close.

These Ram FX Nickels are blades, that hit with the consistancy of cast clubs. All of the sudden the ball is moving again! The ball just dances of these clubs, you'd swear they were blades. But when you hit them off a tee there is NO question that they are cast. The sweet spot is massive with these oversize clubs.

I have the graphites, and my old clubs were steel shafts, so the change is dramatic. The clubs are very light, and easy to swing.

Are the as easy to hit as some of the Callaway oversized clubs? Probably not. The Callaways have a heavier feel to the head, and aids fat swings getting the ball out. But don't kid yourself, the Callaways hit like cast stainless clubs.

I'm not saying these irons are for everyone, but they certainly have a significant spot in iron technology, and it's a total shame their no longer manufactured. Something to think about anyway.
