Ram Tour Grind 898

Summary:
The best blade - too bad Ram stopped making the balata, too. Believe Nick Price played them when he won the '93 Open - I can still nuke a 9-iron 160+. Nothing better when you hit them pure - hang on to them since there won't be another muscle back blade ever produced again. If you can't hit them, hang on to them anyway - they are a beautiful club and a true work of art. I really raise eyebrows when I whip them out.

Summary:
I bought this set 3-sw used for $150.00 and have been playing them for 8 years. Easily the best blade's I have ever played and combined with a 6.5 shaft these irons are deadly accurate.

Ram Tour grind 898

Summary:
The last of the great Ram blades, the Tour Grind 898 is very simular to the Ram tour grinds of the early 80s and 70s. Bought a set used on ebay for only $100 in mint shape. As good in the sweat spot as any blade today, though it is a little smaller then the best of the newer blades. I love this iron and will be playing it this year (2007)Its about 9 years old but tough to be a well balanced iron.
