Description » A tour-caliber player's iron targeted at tour pros and low handicappers seeking workability along with consistent yardage from shot to shot - even on mis-hits
Summary: I'm a true scratch golfer in the sense that I almost never shoot over par and I'm probably the best ballstriker in the state. The pro let me demo a set of the R7 TP irons because he knows I'm the best in the club and values my feedback. These irons feel solid but they aren't good enough for my game. They send the ball too high and the feeling is a bit sloshy. I differ from the general population of golfers in that I have a keen sense for a good feeling club. Suffice to say I'm better than anyone else who's reviewed this club.
Customer Service: I'm sure they try

Summary: These clubs are great. I got these clubs a couple of weeks ago and have played about 5 rounds with them. I'm not saying that I hit it straighter that has not that much to do with the clubs, it's the swing, but they did add distance. With my old irons i hit my 7 iron about 155, now I hit it about 165-170. Great club, very forgiving. I love these clubs and suggest them to anyone looking to upgrade and game improvement clubs.

Summary: I bought a set of Taylormade R7 TP irons about a year ago and have been in love with them ever since. Previously, I played an old set of Ping Eye2 irons with Rifle 6.0 shafts (blue dot, upright +2 degrees). I purchased the R7 TP irons after trying them out at several golf shops. Let me just say - these irons rock!! It took me about 5-6 rounds to get used to them, but now I am dialed in. These irons work magic around the greens - especially for bump-and-run shots. You feel very confident at address. And as for mis-hits? No need to worry - these irons are VERY forgiving! The best part about these irons is the spin you can generate on full shots onto greens. The R7 tour irons launch the ball high and stop the ball on the green perfectly. The Dynamic Gold S300 is a great choice for a shaft. I highly recommend these irons for a 0-14 handicapper. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Playing in high school, i decided to upgrade to a new set of irons. the Taylormade r7 TP irons by far were the best i hit. usually hit a 3-5 yard draw these irons are workable enough to help me hit more of a fade now yet forgiving enough to not loose a ton of distance on miss hits. the project x 6.5 shafts are on 'em. these clubs aren't meant for everyone. people wanting to break 80 and 70 are recommended to purchase these($350 craigslist or ebay).other reviews here helped me decide to purchase along with hitting on simulator. good luck and good hittin'.
