Summary: I purchased these irons and tried them for the first time and shot 81 on a windy day in Kansas. No practice at the range, just went out and gave 'em hell. These are outstanding clubs and I would recommend them to anyone who is a bogey golfer.

Summary: Having just purchased a set of TaylorMade r7 draw irons and just finished my first round with them I feel that I ought to let readers know that they are "FANTASTIC". I dropped two shots to par and did not have one slice. I play off a handicap of six and just lately have been having a nightmare with a fade that sometimes turns into a full slice, not with these clubs though, every shot went where it was intended. I cannot tell you how good these r7's are.
I an 64 years old and after coming back from the course I felt like a 30 year old again, my confidence is at an all time high. I have graphite shafts and they are so easy to play with.If you are struggling, no matter what your age I would urge you to try these clubs, they are great.

Model Reviewed: Taylormade R7 Draw Irons
Summary: I have mixed feelings about these clubs. I got the last march for $200, a great price. When I first got them, they were a huge improvement over my rac os's. I hit them 10 yards farther and a bit straighter. My focus was just on hitting a straight shot, instead of working the ball. Since, my handicap has dropped from a 22 to a 13 and the shafts have become too light. Even more than other clubs, the wrong flex effects the ball fight drastically. I now can only hit a huge hook. I cannot work the ball at all, and the clubs are a bit too forgiving, if thats possible. You get absolutely no feedback on misses. This has caused me to get lazy with my swing. These clubs would be fine if you are not still growing, unlike myself. I would probably recommend these clubs to people who shoot in the high 90s and are not truly interested in improving your swing. Kids should stay away from these clubs.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made R7 Draw
Summary: Just joined this site after using it for several Months to decide on what's hot and what's not!
I felt compelled to write my first review after deciding to buy a set of TM R7 Draw - Steel Stiff Shafts.
These clubs are simply brilliant. When I say I've tried many sets of irons, I mean LOADS...Ping's, Callaways, Nike's, Clevelands etc....but these things come out way on top!
So, why? Well, I'm not saying they are going to suit everyone, but I've suffered from a slight slice/fade for ever, occasionally I could hit straight shots with my old irons, but 9 times out of 10 slight fade. That's not too bad I hear you say, but I've always wanted to draw and be able to shape my shots, and now I can.
I've only had these clubs a short time, and the very first time I took them upto my club and hit 50 practice shots. I would say 40 were dead straight, 8 were draws and a couple of miss-hit slices.
So, if you want to help to enable you to straighten your shots and even put a little draw on your shots, these clubs definitely help, but they won't be THE cure, you'll still need to be able to hit a golf ball relatively well.
I picked up my set brand new for £225 on ebay, they were a steal, but make sure they are not fakes...Check serial number on 7 iron etc for authenticity!
I'll be keeping these in my bag for a very long time, thnkyou Taylor Made, brilliant irons, so good I've bought the draw driver too, just waiting for it to arrive :-)
