Taylormade X300 FCi irons

Summary:
Hello from the UK.
I have been looking for a set of these irons for a long time now , I have tried three sets and am over the moon with them , especially the ones with the S300 shafts , distance and distance control is excellant , but the two sets I tried with the stiff Rifle shafts just did not happen at all for me , so suggest you buy one S300 shaft and have it installed and check the difference.
I am 67 playing off 5 , was an ex scratch man , many moons ago.
Distance is quite simple , it is club head speed and quality of grip at impact.
I played Hogan Apex for years but these irons are without a doubt the best I have hit , for feel , accuracy and distance. If they are so good you may wonder why 5 now , well its the game within the game lads , dat putter.
Cheers.

Pete

Taylormade X-300 FCI X-100

Summary:
I found this set at a second hand store and picked it up right then and there since there was only a limited amount produced to the world. I wanted this set since it was forged by Miura and it was worth it. I am not currently playing with this set since i believe over time, it will become collector's items. Contact feels so good when a golfer hits it solid. So far, it was the best set I ever owned.

x-300 fci

Summary:
The fci mystic is valid... these limited production irons are well worth the search. I've been playing the fci's for approx 5 mos now (replaced my 2 yr old Rac MBs... w/o question the most satisfying set i've played. I sense these player clubs were intended for the shotmaker - not the bangers who focus on distance. I get the best results when i back-off and let the club do the work... that being said, i've lost no distance from the Rac MBs. Though cavity-back, these are not game-improvement sticks. Soft forged feel is extremely evident when hit well... Highly recommend... try'em if you can find them.

Customer Service:
Great service... got confirmation from TM rep that my fci's were Muira forged.

Taylor Made x-300 FCI

Summary:
I was a Mizuno Staff Member (not tour staff)for 4 years until a friend of mine , who is a TM player rep, turned me on to the x-300 irons. I played MP-29's and 14's so that tells you where I was coming from. I hit the x-300's on the practice range before a section event, asked if I could use them and to this day I have 2 sets of Mizuno equipment gathering dust in my golf closet. They have every bit of the feel and workability of any blade I have ever played. The extra forgiveness is just a bonus (that almost makes you feel like your cheating). I will say this, they may be cavity backs, but they ARE NOT GAME IMPROVEMENT CLUBS unless you already have a very good game. That said, if you are coming from a long history of "real blades", you will fall in love with the irons.

Customer Service:
I do all the work on my clubs, but TM does have very good service.
