Summary:
Having made the mistake of buying off the shelf at american golf I took some valuable advice and visited the acushnet fitting centre at Brampton and spent an hour with them explaining to them what I really wanted from a set of irons. I explained to them that I purchased the lovely looking Mizuno MP32's off the shelf and although the feel was good I was lacking in distance from my previous set which were Titleist 762's. I tried a number of different irons including the sister MB option but nothing really compared to the ball strike / feel and reliability of the 692cb. I wanted a club were I could still work the ball from both left to right and right to left and these do the job very well. I also wanted a lower more penetrating ball flight and these work perfectly alongside the Prov1x.
Just a note to any perspective buyer - AlWAYS and I mean ALWAYS have a custom fit. Not only will this give you the edge over your competition because you know you've got the right club in your hands it will also give you the right mental approach leaving you no negative doubts over your equipment.
Titleist 695cb - the best irons I've ever owned by far !!!

Customer Service:
Titleist has fantastic customer service and although these clubs cost me the earth they are well worth it.

Titleist 695 CB

Summary:
Bought these irons in November 2008, played with them all winter, and since the season started this year they have been great for my game - got my handicap cut from 8-5 since I bought these!! They are good looking, nice soft feel when you hit one perfect but also more forgiving than most irons in this category. I still tend to hit them very high (as I have always done with my irons), but particularly the short irons I find go a long way. Would recommend these great irons to any single figure handicapper.

Summary:
I just bought a set of 695 cb's with Gold X-100 shafts....WoW....my former set was the black DCI's Which should tell you hiow much I stick with a good thing..lol The ball just comes off like butter with these 695's still able to manover the ball at will but still have the forgivness when hit slightly off center... Wish I would have got these two years ago when they came out...They still lean towards a true players club. New they are expensive. But I got lucky to pick up a barely used set.

Titleist Forged 695CB

Summary:
Tried demos at PGA Golf Super Store in AZ on simulator and fell in love with them. I hit the 695CB better then anything else I tried that day. Spent $40 to get fitted, then purchase from my home Pro. The clubs are 1 degree stronger than comparable models. Consequently you hit them a little longer and I hit them much straighter. And when you catch it just right, they fly. There are the perfect club for me at this point in my game.

Customer Service:
Purchased through my club's proshop and customized 1/2" long and one degree up from factory. Clubs are perfect

My previous set were 990 DCI's and these were an easy and great transition. Much better feel, balance etc.

titliest 695cb

Summary:
Bought these at the pro shop on a whim after not playing in 4 months.
AFter two rounds, two things stand out:
the ball goes straight and the ball flight is as advertised.

I executed shots that I visualized. Soemthing as a 20 handicap player that in the past, more often than not.... not happening.

I am excited again about playing. Uncanny as the ball stayed straighter than I anticipated, surprised with decent forgivness. Only concern was no consistency on distance depending on iron played, but again have not played in a while, so that will get worked out. Bottom line was much improved execution.
I never hit my Taylor Made Rac 7's this staight. It was fun to go after shots. I think I will see improvement that translates into better scoring.
