Review Abstract
"Great for sweet-spot hits," this baby "works the ball like a forgiving blade," but "mis-hits are harsh." "Fat shots end up short and thinned ones can run twice the intended distance" on this "attractive," "great feeling," "solid," "distance hitter." It's "better for low to mid handicappers," which explains why so many reviewers lamented that they "are not skilled enough to deserve them."

Summary:
I had my set of 962s custom fit close to 10 years ago when I was a low single digit handicap. I played well with them then and actually hit the ball better today despite now shooting in the low 80s.

These clubs have tremendous feel and playability; however, they can be a little unforgiving on mis-hits.

I sometimes think about upgrading to a new set, but just can't justify getting rid of these great irons.

Titleist 962 Irons

Summary:
I was fortunate enough to be offered these clubs in college for $29 a club, 2 iron through pw. It's now almost 16 years later and I'm still using the same set. Over the years I've looked at different options but haven't found anything I like standing over more than these. They are as close to a blade look as you're going to find with the forgiveness of not a cavity back but a hybrid. Fantastic irons. Highly recommended to anyone below a 20 handicap.

Titleist dci 962 irons

Summary:
These clubs have great feel, and are very forgiving. I have tried many different irons, but hit these more accurate, also i hit each club about 10 yds further than my old irons. These clubs are easy to find, and are cheap. They are well worth the average price of $110.

Summary:
I am a lefty and I have used many different sets. I love these irons they have minimal offset but they really hit the ball a long way. When you set up to the ball with these they just look great. I find that they are forgiving as well. Great feel around the greens when chipping or pitching the ball. I have used newer models of titelist but find the 962 to be the best that I have used. I know that people say these are only for really good players but again I carry a 13 handicap and I find that these are pretty easy to hit. You can find these irons on ebay or used sites for very cheap and I believe they play as well as any players club on the market. I highly recommend these irons.

Summary:
I bought a used 3-PW set of these on a whim because of the price ($84 US) and was concerned about the reviews about them being for low handicappers only. However, after several trips to the range, I was pleasantly surprised by their feel and setup. I found that I could hit them just as well as -better actually- my 'game improvement' Adams set. I am a novice golfer with only 1 season under my belt, but these irons feel great, look great, and are very consistent. At the price you can nab these things for (often less than $100), it's a no-brainer.
