Description The Wilson Staff Ci6 iron is targeted directly at the mid-handicapper. It looks and feels like a precision player's instrument but incorporates some of the more forgiving features of the Wilson Staff ...
Summary: A lot of reviews are done by people that purchased clubs and are trying to justify their purchase so you don't see many negative reviews...I have purchased my fair share of clubs (thanks E-bay!). I have used all brands of irons...from Titleist to Precepts, you name it I have either hit them on the range or owned them.
I decided to give the Wilson Staff Ci6 a try. I purchased them off E-bay for $ 100.00 so not much to lose. They were on Golf Magazine's Hot list in 2006 and their predecessor the Ci7 made it last year...so what the heck, right. I played 9 holes yesterday after work. Course was slow, so i played multiple balls on all holes. What a GREAT club. I didn't think I would ever say that about Wilson.
This club has excellent feel for a cast club. Reminds me of my old Maxfli Revs. I read that they are 2 degrees strong so I took that in consideration when I was picking my clubs. Spot on! I normally hit my Precept Tour Premium CB 8iron about 150yds and I used the 9iron with the Ci6. I used my 4iron on a tight(345yd) par 4 and I was 120out...a nice high easy 225. My Wilson have the regular shaft which i was a little concerned about because I have always played with stiff shafts. These reg shafts are what the Dr. ordered. They remind me of the old sensicore shafts that reduce vibration on mis-hits. I'm not as young as i used to be so the ego has been checked and i am a beliver in reg. shafts. (I guess graphite will be next but I'm waiting till i hit at least 55).
Overall...maybe the BEST buy i have ever made on irons. Time will tell.
Great Iron at a great price.
Reccommend for 0 to 15hcp.

Summary: An unexpectedly excellent set of irons. I purchased a set at the start of last summer to replace my hippo tourmasters. I looked at ping, callaway and mizuno but these wilson irons looked very neat at address and at 240 euros offered great value for money. These are high quality clubs using high quality components. The true temper steel shafts are excellent and the golf pride grips good although a little thin. I replaced the stock grips with golf pride dd2 grips at the start of this season. The clubs are well weighted and feel reasonably soft at impact bearing in mind they are cast not forged. Distance is good as the lofts are about 2degrees stronger than standard. Finish is excellent and stands up well to abuse. Long irons are forgiving and trajectory control is possible with the short irons. Overall a very solid set of irons which will suit the vast majority of mid handicappers.

Summary: I have played one season with the Wilson Ci6 set after starting golfing again after a seven year lay off. I regained my handicap of 11.7 and in no time was down to 9.2. The ci6 are so forgiving particular with the 6 iron and upwards through to the 3 iron where shots become more difficult to hit correctly. I have also purchased the sand, gap and lob wedge which are a must to have in your bag. The latter are very difficult to get hold of but the USA stocks them at a reasonable price. The clubs are one where you have very few negative thoughts once in your hand and at address. I would certainly recommend a purchase of these clubs for the above average golfer.
Customer Service: Wedge set purchased from USA and cannot fault any aspect of deal or description given. Wilson are a very underated company and would recommend anyone to try their iron product range of Ci6
Similar Products Used: Unfortunately none, as I have just started to play again but I can remember never having played with any irons that could match the Ci6 for my level of golf game in the past

Summary: These are excellent clubs. I have played just about every iron set know to mankind - and I mean that sincerely. I have played just about every Ping, Callaway, Taylor Made available. Cobra - yep. Cleveland - ditto. I'm not good enough for blades although I love the look and feel, so I gravitate to something of a cavity back but not the "super game improvement" styles. Both the Ci6 and the newer Ci7 irons are excellent in every way and are in my opinion every bit as good IF NOT BETTER than the bigger brands that cost LOTS more. Feel is excellent, control is amazing, and distance is very good. I got my Ci6 set on a close out from Edwin Watts for $199 - a STEAL !!! My buddy (who plays Raptures) tried my clubs on several shots last weekend and now he is ready to sell his set and get the Wilson's too. It's the best $199 I EVER spent on golf gear - and I have spent more than I want to think about.
Summary: Great irons. Have been playing some Ping S57 knockoffs for the last few years and wanted something with a bit more forgiveness so I thought I would give these a shot. I couldn't be happier! First round out I shot my lowest round ever, a 77. Although the feedback isn't as pronounced as my previous set the feel when you pure them is great. Definitely can't beat the $199 I payed for them on eBay. If you shoot in the 80s and are looking to get over the hump at a reasonable price I would suggest giving the Ci6s a try.
