Summary:
Am still in my young teens and have had a few sets of clubs (wilson s-28, wilson deep reds II, callaway x20 tour, ban hogan bh-5) go in and out of my bag, these are up there with some of the best, although i would take the wilson deep reds (9I 155) over these, i find them a little less that them, but they still fly the ball long high and far, you can slightly work the ball with these clubs, but the dram is more like a pull and a push on the other, and trying to hit the balls low often fail, but can help by taking a club more gripping down and "gramps" swinging, but still fly's high, and stopping the ball is easy because of the height you get off of them, the lowest i have manages to shoot with these is a modest 79 which is not my best round, but i think you could probs ake a couple more shots off of that, so any player would get on with these clubs, and even people that are getting older and losing that swing speed, or need help getting the ball in the air, and you can pick up a decent set for about 80quid on ebay, bargain for the fun and best you can have from out driving your mates driver with an iron! honestly i would get the hogans and deep reds over these, but these will deffo make somebody very happy as they once did me.

Summary:
These are the most accurate irons that I have ever played. Ball flight is straight as an arrow, and the distance is 2-3 clubs more than my usual set. Only difficulty is hitting it too far...and being able to work the ball with these irons is tough....However, who cares about working the ball when you are hitting most ever shot DEAD STRAIGHT....!!!!! Also, the weight of the heads and stability of the FS makes these irons get a ball out of anything! Best irons you will ever hit....!!!! Great, great innovation with the Fat Shaft WILSON!!!

Summary:
I use to shoot in the 100's.Wilson Fat Shaft FS red lettering on the heel with black number Ive heard them called Fat Shaft 11 made between 1999-2001.The ultimate game improveing irons although they have an over size head and that huge fat shaft and you do not work the ball with these irons but who cares.I thought that technolgy would have improved over the past six years I have played with Cleveland Launcher Irons Callaway 2006 Big Bertha and x-18's which only wish they had the distance of these old Wilson FS Fat Shaft irons.
These Wilson FS irons ( and I am a small framed individual 5'9" 150#)a pitching wedge 100 yards, no problem 9 130 yds, 8 140 yds, 7 confidently 150 to 160 I've hit a 4 iron 190 yds with confidence over water guarding the front edge of a green.
I can't say that the other improvement irons could do that for me.Golf is fun when you can cover the distance with confidence, high flight and soft landings is to much fun especially when it comes from your gun.
They are hard to find but very reasonably priced 100.00 to 200.00 I put on new golf pride grips half cord and velvet.What a set of clubs and I've the 3 thru PW, Gap, Sand and Lob Wedge.After trying those other clubs, it is a relief to come back to those old Wilson Clubs and watch the ball fly long, high and straight to the landing zone.
Want an improvement iron for the mid to high handicaper Wilson Fat Shaft, Fat Shaft \ with a funny design line and FS in the cavity back.They haven't made irons like these since or before now,if they have please tell the rest of us so we can all get in on a fun easy club to hit.

Summary:
I dislocated my left elbow last June and this forced me to set aside my Ben Hogan set for a Graphite shaft so as to dump to somewhat reduce the vibration in healing elbow. I scouted for a cheap set since this would be on a temporary basis. I saw one the "FS Hypercarbon Fat Shaft" on ebay selling for USD 150.00. Though I am not a fan of Wilson, I clicked the buy now since the price is pretty competitive. Though I have a new set, I am excited to play golf again but I am not excited to use it since I am not a Wilson fan. I tried my newly purchased iron at the range and WOW !!!!!!! The ball flies Straight as an arrow. The distance is 3 to 5 yards maybe longer than my HOGAN even for a slow swing. The flies high though but it is OKAY. #3 and #4 VERY EASY TO HIT - > It is comparable to a HYBRID Club. The ball flight behaves the same when I used it for a round of golf.. Amazing CLUB !!! Ball stops on par 3s.. Highly recommended. Next year I will try my Hogan to assess w/c one I shall sell but at this point, I could honestly say that this set (FS) is for keeps.


CONS: If you a feel player, the club may be not for you.

Summary:
I started playing with 1991 Callaway big bertha clubs. The woods...great. My irons just didn't do well. At work during break and lunch we go out back on our home made golf coarse, 4 holes, and play around. A pal of mine was selling his fs clubs. I used them a bit, mostly the P and 9 irons since the shortness of the coarse, was so amazed I asked to take them to the range. Went out, started my normal routine with my callaways, go set, switched to my fs, and boom. Longer, straighter, and higher shots coming from the fatshafts. I've seen reviews of not being able to drive through the wind, but in 30 MPH winds here today, using a 7 I, I pushed right through the wind. Ball placement comes into play, but the clubs just help SO much. I was pushing 150 with my 7 iron easily. Forced me to slow down, and make smooth shots. I was hitting targets all over the field, it was very easy compared to my callaways, so, I spent 200 and bought the complete set with Sand Wedge. GREAT addition, I'm not looking for the woods to see if they're as good as the irons.
