This forged cavity-back design has the traditional visual cues (thin topline, square toe, minimal progressive offset) that better players look for. Distributing extra weight toward the toe positions the club's center of gravity (CG) directly behind the hitting area. The net effect is greater head stability and precise feedback. CNC-milled grooves and a higher CG (for higher spin rates) round out the package.
Summary: Replaced my PING G5s with these in an attempt to improve my ballstriking. I was looking for a forgiving club with feel and feedback, easily workable but easy to fire straight. GIR and ballstriking have been keeping me from breaking 80 as much as I would like. After a few rounds, I could not be happier with these FG Tours. They're everything I thought they would be, but longer and easier to hit! They have weaker lofts than my G5s, but I'm getting the same distance, with great distance control.. The s300 shaft probably fits my swing better. To those who are considering testing the cavity forged irons from GI and SGI clubs - don't listen to those who say you can't play a forged club because your HC is too high. If you're a 20+, they're probably right.. But if you're learning golf later in life, like I am, you need feel in order to correct your swing flaws (unless you're paying $$$$ for lessons). These irons have helped me slow my tempo and have let me know I am a heel striker.. after adjustments to my swing, I'm striking the ball better than ever, and am learning to play a nice fade - sticking more greens, and my missed greens are easier up-n-downs. Wilson is top-notch and probably the best value in golf.

Summary: Last year I had a few lessons with the local golf pro and by the end of the final lesson I went from hitting a draw to a nice high fade which was my intention. My previous irons were the Cobra FP (2008) models. They were good clubs with great distance but as with any GI iron, the distance consistency suffers. Also, the stock Nippon stiff shaft had become too weak as I was told I loaded the club heavily at the top and needed a stiffer shaft. I decided to go shopping and stumbled across the Wilson FG Tour Irons with the TT DG S300 shaft. I hit them for about 30 minutes on the monitor and was sold, but with reservations. I decided to trade in the Cobras and went right to the range. I did not hit them superbly at first but knew it would take time. Once I got them dialed in I knew I made the right choice. My first round playing with them I hit a few shanks, but it was the Indian not the arrow. But when I did put a good swing on it, the ball just whistled off the face with a nice boring trajectory for each club. Will still take a little more time but I can see where these will help my swing and scores in the future.
Customer Service: Not used yet but I hear Wilson is great.

Summary: Great set of irons, you can work the ball with ease. They are very forgiving without being harsh on miss hits. I gained abut 5 yards per club with these but the amount of control I gained is the best part of these clubs. If you are a person that would like to drop those extra few strokes to shoot in the 70's these are your clubs.

Summary: Solid iron with a great compact head and sets up nice. Long irons are very usable.
Great to have a forged head in the bag again. Easy to dial in and pure hits are rewarded with great tactile sensation. Mis-hits aren't penal. A/B tested with Mizuno MP 62 and found these comparable.
Limited offset made these easy to accurately line up. I like the looks.
Customer Service: Wilson Demo guys were very helpful in getting me into the right club. Will bend these upright a degree eventually but have already played two of my best rounds of the year with these.
Similar Products Used: Moved up from Wilson Pi7's and Cleveland CG2's...Crisper feeling of forged and more reliable clubbing distances. Compact head allows me to get through thick grass in a way not possible with the cast clubs.
