Yonex V-mass 250

Summary:
Never buy this product.
Three of my Yonex V-mass 250 irons have broken at the hosel within a month of playing: 3-iron, 5-iron, and 6-iron.

Customer Service:
The worst customer service.
Orange Golf, CA, received the broken clubs from me and sent them to Yonex factory on 7/11/2006. However, I did not hear anything as of today, 8/11/2006. I wish I could get them back before this season ends.

YONEX V-MASS 250's

Summary:
A follow up to my previous review. Well another 2.8 rounds went into the books and you guessed it another club bit the dust. This time it was my PW where I hit it flush off the first cut of rough on the 15th hole. It was agonizing to look down at my club as the head barely hanging on to the few fibres from the graphite swung in the wind. I took it back into GolfTown and requested a new set of 260's, steel shaft and a straight up trade. Yonex agreed, big surprise!

Customer Service:
Golf Town is the greatest place to buy golf equipment. Very helpful and courteous.

Yonex V-Mass 250

Summary:
I've only had these for a few days, but after two times on the range I can safely say that these irons are very, very nice. The feel of the short irons is great - smooth, soft (when I hit it right), and easy to stick. I'm still trying to get used to the longer irons, but I have the feeling that it's the fault of my swing.

I've had mis-hits and I've turfed it, and the clubs haven't broken yet...if that says anything about the reliability.

Customer Service:
Haven't used it yet...

V-Mass 250 Graphite Stiff shafts

Summary:
First impressions: a little head heavy and pretty heavy for a graphite club. They seem to hit long and were really forgiving. Was initially very happy with them for $400 CDN.

I had read all the reviews after buying the clubs, but still didn't believe that I could break a club. Well, the first trip to the range proved me wrong. On the third swing with the 3 iron, I put the ball 180 and straight. Unfortunately, the club head went with it, about 40 yards: it was straight though, if that's any consolation.

My swing speed is about 85mph; just borderline stiff shaft speed. So the clubs are not reliable. I wound up exchanging them for a set of Hogan Apex Edges - a much lighter and stronger set of clubs.

Stay away from these clubs - I'm pretty sure that the v-mass 260s and 350s have corrected this problem.

Customer Service:
Golftown was great. I told them about the problem and they didn't just warranty it for me, they let me exchange for a completely new set. I get the feeling they knew about the club defects.

V-Mass 250

Summary:
I purchased these stiff graphite shaft irons not less than a month ago and I have already broken the 4 iron. I played all of 4.5 rounds with them. With the exception of that break I find these clubs
incredibly long. I replaced my Lynx Parallax irons with stiff true temper shafts and where I used to hit my 8 iron I can hit the PW with the V-Mass 250's. I am not sacrificing any accuracy either. The distance you get from these irons is incredible and the feel is exceptional. These clubs are weighted very nicely with the tungsten inserts giving a relatively light club an anchored feel.

Customer Service:
I have just taken back the 4 iron and Golf town tells me it will take a week. Golf Town has above average customer service skills. I will always buy my golf equipment their!
