IHave a golden goose putter that is about 50 years old, it was my uncles who just passed. I used to caddy for him 5-6 times a week in the summer and handed him this putter many many times. It has sentimental value Im wondering how much it is worth, does anyone know, I could really use the money, but if not that much Ill just keep it.

In my opinion this centre shafted putter is easier to line up than others with lines, extensions at the back with balls,or any other sort of aid. Being plain and simple it makes you concentrate more.
The first time you pick one up it feels heavy which is exaggerated by the size of the head. The head being made of brass gives it a feel of solidity but it can be "butter" soft off the face when used with the right ball.
I changed the grip to a tour wrap because I found it softer to hold and gave a much better feel to the stroke.
This club can be used equally by right and left handed players, and is much safer for "tap ins" with the "back" of the club.
This club can certainly be used by anybody from scratch to 20. I think higher handicaps need more help in their early days.Once you can get it down, buy one you will not be disappointed.
