No weaknesses. All very good.

I have played with a ping cushin putter for over 42 years and without a doubt, is the best putter I've ever used. I've tried other newer fancy hi-tech putters, but old faithful out performs them all. My buddies kid me about the old putter, except when I beat them on the greens and take their skin money! I'm now looking for a 2nd ping cushin as a backup and collectors item. Wish me luck and don't tell anyone what it's worth!

OF all the vintage Ping putters I've tried in play or practice the CUSHIN is the one that survives in both of my bags. I've played the CUSHIN for about 11 years and found an exact replacement for the 2nd bag 4 years ago, a happy day!
Day in and out this putter (34" heel-shafted bent shaft model, not the occasionally seen "gooseneck" model or the straight shafted one)is EXTREMELY consistent both short and long, and I mean 50' long! The heads are in perfect balance: off-center hits work for left to right or right to left breaking putts without feeling that "clank" that you get from other brands when you purposefully off-center the face. I use that technique to soften or strengthen holding the line, if you follow me. It works, regardless of what the Talking Head TV types tell you on TV on some of these recent Sundays! We're all different players and no one size fits all!!!
Cosmetically the old bronze heads age so well! They get this patina which takes away the glare and leaves an old and familiar tool that seems to line itself up without input....I've had to re-stripe the older one's sight line with green enamel and did the second one to match, just to have some reference. (I have an old Ping Anser which has no sight lines whatsoever and a much lighter head, making it WORTHLESS on long putts and testy on the short ones so that might end up on E BAY!)

About the Weight and Feel: I have recent experience with the Craz-ee and a beautiful bronze B60, both 35" heel-shafted and I've concluded that the CUSHIN's weight and balance is as good as those two: same basic feel with maybe a little less distance control than the CRAZ-EE, that's all.

I think that the CUSHINS are UNDER-RATED as a prime putter to put in your bag. You can find them for a range of prices from $10 to $70 on E BAY and occasionally at a garage sale or Play-It -Again Sports. So change the grip, clean the thing up and start dropping putts without thinking that you have to spend $70 - 160 for a shiny new, "technologically advanced, face inserted" putter! What rubbish!!

Customer Service

The Ping website is a marvel, especially their Web-Fit (which might go away- a PING rep at a demo last Sunday said they are killing off their famous Dot fit system. WHY??? Because it works too well?They have other good things on their site, like a golf round profiler that you should copy and put blanks in your golf bag to record each shot, something you can study at home to see where your game is going and in an easier to read format that those little squiggles, circles and squares and sideways notes we put on our scorecards that are supposed to mean something if we remember what they mean!!!

I hit this one just as well as the CUSHINS but not on the bermuda greens I play 7 months /yr in Mexico and Florida. There the CUSHIN rules supreme for me.
Also, I have played the (Taylor) Rossa Monza 35" and that's a heck of a putter, too, but somehow I just can't seem to get by looking down at what strikes me as a Hollywood pirate's hat....
