Picked it up at a used place, $40... Great putter. Pretty straightforward, felt great from the start... Some might think the insert is too soft, if so, get a different putter, Brainiac!

I think it is great. Plus, it is a little heavier than many Ping putters.. I still added 2 strips of lead tape across the entire length of the sole and it is now just about perfect.

One bone-head mentioned something about Camerons being the very best... nonsense. They ARE good putters, but I believe that it is entirely about feel, balance and what is right for each individual, not the price tag or the adds or the big bucks paid to tour pros to play 'em. What if you prefer a very soft insert? What Scotty do you play? I have had many Camerons... the Ping is in my bag.

Putt with a couple of DOZEN putters, cheap and pricey, then choose the one that feels natural to you. You might not land Angelina Jolie, but you might make many more putts!

If I miss with this putter It's because I have failed as a golfer. This piece of mid price golf equipment just feels sweet at impact and then it's easy to go low with it, if I read my putts properly. I have taken some putting lessons and they were really the secret to scoring, with any putter for that matter. When I light it up I have gone into the seventies with my old $20 putter, it really doesn't matter what your using to putt with, it's just all you at that point. This Ping is surely a super addition to any golfers bag. Over the years I have found while it can help your game, even the best equipment is no substitute for skill and patients.

Picked this club up for 60 dollars CDN. Absolutely love this putter. I call it the work horse of putters. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done. I also re-gripped it with the blue G2i Ping grip. Wow, what a sweet grip. Excellent weight, excellent feel. Not too soft, just right. Lag putts are much easier with this putter than others I have tried. If you can find one for cheap, it is a sure fire! Enjoy.

I've noticed that most of the people that like this putter don't shoot in the 70's, so maybe it's more for game improvment, because I hate this damn thing. I bought this when I was first starting to play golf, and before I knew anything about my game or my preferences. Years later, after I was much better (consistently shoot in the 70's), I bought a Odyssey white hot, and a few months later, a used Titleist Scotty Cameron newport. Both putters I like much more than the ping--they just feel right. Obviously I like the scotty cameron best (which unfortunately I had to sell when tight on cash), and maybe it's unfair to compare a $110 Ping to one of the best putters in golf, but when compared, I hate the Ping. I dislike the grip, the unresponsive shaft, and the soft face insert--it feels like you're putting behind the ball, and the roll feels inaccurate... I'll stick with my White Hot until I can afford another Titleist.

This was a pretty expensive putter but has tremendously helped my short range putting. The weighting feels almost perfect. I had mine shortened a bit for that extra control. The insert does make long puts slightly less predictable, but seems to give added feel to the short puts. Overall this club was worth the money; you won't be dissapointed.
