Cleveland RTG Wedges

Cleveland RTG Wedges

DESCRIPTION

Cleveland Golf's RTG Wedges are the most played wedges on Tour. Their non-chrome finish creates a more abrasive surface resulting in greater spin and a very soft feel.

In the past I had been using my pitching wedge to try and get it close with a nice soft swing. Most of the time it was just too much club and some times I would skull it right over the green. Since playing with this wedge getting it close is not a problem. It hits it high and lands nice and soft. Don't know how I lived without it. Regina truck oil change

Had these for the last 4 years. Really happy with performance and feel. Good spin characteristics, looks great at address, not very forgiving on mis-hits. Compared 588's to cg series and cg's were slightly better in feel and spin but overall felt that there was very little between the two. Great wedge for the money.

I bought the nike forged 53* and 58* wedges about a month ago. Went out on my course and did not like the feel. They are very short wedges too. I could only hit my 58* about 85 yards. sooo i was looking on ebay and saw the 53 and 60 rtg's, i asked the guy if he wanted to trade. im so glad i did, these wedges are amazing. you barely know that you hit the ball on a full swing. im not really a long ball hitter, only about 255-260, so i have to be a good short game player. if i wasnt i would be in the 100's, honestly. the rusty look is awesome and really puts a lot of spin on the ball. i highly recommend these to any handicap, just practice. CLEVELAND IS EXCELLENT!

Model Reviewed: 900 RTG 54* low bounce

Wanted a club that I could hit off the fairway as well as a short game club, so I stuck with the TA7 sand wedge. I was never sold on the importance of good wedges but I got this rusty looking club at a great price and gave it a shot. The first thing you notice is how ugly this thing is once it rusts. After you get over that you notice how soft and how much feel you get from this club. When it comes to results you will notice how much it spins. You have to account for the spinnage and lack of roll and it will take a few rounds to get used to. The low bounce makes it easier to hit from the fairway although I must admit I haven't had too many shots in the 90-100 yard area to give a good review on. But feel is amazing around the green and I've learned to like the look of the club like the redheaded stepchild in my bag that it is.

These wedges are the best in golf (save for the cg10's, a little out of my price range), they allow an enourmous amount of control. They come from the factory with a double grind bounce angle, so the club may be used with the face waaay open (past 45 degrees) with the same bounce as at standard address. From the sand these wedges are superb. From the rough you may expect more of the same. Around the green expect to hole most shots if you have the touch. There is no shot out of the question with these wedges. With the gap I can routinely put the ball within 2 feet at any range from a greenside bunker. An easy flop from the sand, picks it clean and spins the hell out of it. Apparently Cleveland has discontinued these, so if you can find them, buy a few, you won't regret it, chances are you want a few more!

Never needed it.

I have the 52, 56, and 60 degree wedges. Been playing with 56 the longest. Great clubs and I recommend them for anyone looking to get great feel and spin off the ball. I have a high ball flight and I can back my balls up quite well with them. They do take knicks off the cover the of the ball which can be annoying for people that like to play more than 2 or 3 balls a round. Overall great for the money and the play.

Take a look online the RTG's 588's and 900's as of July 2004 are finally on sale. $59.00 (US) only and ordering it to Canada (BC) was fast and still quite the deal with the exchange and shipping. Worked out to $95.00 (Canadian)total. This company makes the no.1 wedge on tour. Even at the suggested retail price these are well worth it. Classic appearance and great feel. So easy to hit I had to replace my pw in my iron set. I've been asked by golfers who are better than I am how I stop the ball. I have to tell them it's not me its the wedge and ball combo. I play the Precept U-tri Extra Spin and with the loft combinations I have so many different shot options. Pick one up for the price. You won't be disappointed.

Customer Service

No problems and as of now have not had the need for it.
