Ben Hogan 5808 Lob Wedge

Summary:
Great lob wedge to go with my Hogan 5309 fairway wedge. Although the bounce is pretty low, I can typically get away with hitting bunker shots, especially short ones. This club can generally produce one hop and stop performance from 40 yards and out, but does not produce as much spin as today's wedges (such as the Vokey Spin Milled or TM RAC TP). Nevertheless, you're certainly not going to cut any balls up with this thing. Along with my 5309, I find this wedge has exceptional feel. Lucky purchase in Hong Kong back in 2002 I guess!

Summary:
This wedge is the best lob wedge I have ever hit, letting the club do the work, you hit high short shots to the pin, with pin point accuracy, even I can spin balls back with this. Great Buy

5808

Summary:
I made the switch in my bag to a 54 degree sand wedge and 58 degree lob/utility wedge almost 2 years ago. Much better fit for my game. Initially I was carrying Vokeys with this configuration. Enjoyed the Vokeys but found them to be somewhat dull on pitch shots and difficult to predict on delicate lobs out of the rough. I switched to the Hogan because I found it to be somewhat of a lighter club overall in relation to the Vokey but still maintained a similar swingweight ratio. Lovely forged club. Performs well from greenside bunkers and rough alike. Highly recommended. A bit pricey but comparable to others in it's class.
