Summary:
Not being long off the tee, the ONLY reasons I shoot in the 70's (an "off" game is low 80's) are my short game and my putting (29 putt average). These forged wedges from KZG (52*,56* & 60*) are quite simply, freaking LETHAL! I have typically had the ball-spin from 120 yards and in, that will bounce 2-3 times and just stop. Now however, the ball will bounce once or twice and spin back as much as 3'-10' (depending on the greens condition). Being a Southpaw golfer, I have had limited choices over the years of clubs and have used some "big name" wedges ... they don't hold a candle to these KZG's. As long as the "loose nut behind the shaft" puts a good swing on these clubs, they put the ball exactly where I want it. The only negative aspect of them, if you want to call it negative, is that they ARE tough on golf balls. They DO tend to leave shave marks and slight feathering as a reminder that I am swining a serious club. Funny thing is though that they are less damaging to the Balata balls (possibly because Balata is a bit more compliant?). All I can say is watch-out you guys on the Senior Tour if I can EVER get my drives out over 250 (lol)!!

Summary:
After 4 years taking up this very demanding game, I have to say my fourth year has become my break thru year. With these clubs I managed to finally break the 80 mark four times last year. And won the Clubs Annual Golf Tournament in the B Division. It was my firts Golf Club Tournament I played in. Never thought I was good enought before. This year I hope to bring my handicap down to the single digit mark and who knows. The one thing that I can say is consistent about my game is the KZG Clubs that I play. They perform extremely great, and forgiving too. But you will know when your swing is off and needs a little tweak to get you back on track, the clubs will give you the feedback you are looking for. I quess that's common in Blades, but I don't know because these where the first and only blades that I played. Yep, hit a few blades and clubs of the mat in the golf shops, but nothing compares to grass, so it's hard for me to comment on the other brands. One thing I do know, is that I have no problem in playing with these KZG blades. It is really a learning experience to play with them. Yes, you do have to know a little about the golf swing and how to properly execute, but you will find out early if you are on the correct track. The feed back is tremendous and the rewards of hitting it correctly will be so good that you just want to keep on hitting them. I find it hard to put them away at the driving range, because I am improving with every outting. Yes, I put alot of time into it, but I can't say enough about these clubs. If you are good, then these won't hurt you at all. If you are struggling, then these KZG's blades will help you improve your game, because you will eventually hit it sweet and then Bang!! I want to do that again and again and again. Trust me, if I can work the ball a little after only 4 years (and I took the game up when I was 38) I think you will agree with me, that these are darn good irons. The only thing that I would give them up for, well, is another set just like them. That's it, I sticking to these irons tell the end. Thank you KZG for making a excellent blade that even someone like me can hit.

No KZG in Newfoundland where I live but the guys in Loft & Lie, Dartmouth, NS are great. Too bad I didn't live close to them.
