Nike NDS 55 degree SW

Summary:
The previous reviewer pretty much hit it dead on the head. The NDS iron set are very well made and very affordable, and golfers of nearly any skill level can enjoy good shots with them, but the SW is nothing more than an 11 iron. It isn't a wedge per se. It is very difficult to open the face on this for sand and shots out of the rough. It doesnt good clubhead weigthing for a wedge, where you want a heavy muscle back or forged feel to it. It can be used well out of the fairway at your comfortable full swing and 3/4 swing wedge yardage. It is easier to swing this wedge at full strength and speed than other wedges, but the point of a wedge is for its utility play around the greens. Get this only if you like cavity back wedges. Other than that, I recommend Nike SV Wedges if you want to stay with Nike products, or go with another forged wedge, like the Maxfli A10s I have been playing for years.

Haven't played many cavity backed wedges to give a good comparison.

Nike NDS Wedge

Summary:
I have written an earlier review praising the Nike NDS irons. For my money there is nothing better and I gave it 5 stars in both performance and value. The NDS sandwedge is a completely different story. Poor workability and to large a gap between the 47 degree PW and the 55 degree SW. Impossible to open the face on this club. It seems like Nike was just trying to complete the line with this wedge. In short its a CLUNKER! Suggest if you want to stay with Nike go after the SV wedges which in my opinion are as good as it gets. Buy the Nike NDS irons 3-PW and back them up with a couple of Nike SV wedges and you will have one of the best sets out there.
