Greystone is a gem located on the southern side of Birmingham, close to Shoal Creek. Having now had the opportunity to play this and several other courses in Alabam, I'm amazed that the course is not consistently ranked in the top two or three courses in Alabama. There are two 18's, one of which annually hosts the Senior PGA Tour. Shot values are excellent, the holes are visually interesting, and when I played it the course was in excellent condition. The newer 18 has zoysia fairways, which are a dream to play on. While private, you shouldn't pass up an opportunity to play either of these courses.
