Course is nice but not spectacular. Well groomed and in good condition. Tendency to overclub for me.

Customer Service

Some issue here. When we arrived I took a small cooler out of the trunk of the car. It was seen but not remarked upon by the bag boys. I put it in the cart and drove to the clubhouse where I took it into the bar and had the bartender fill it with ice and water (at $2.50 a bottle). No comments made. We were told to wait for our tee time at the driving range. We get to the range and a starter drove up in a cart to inform me that I could not take the cooler on the course. I explained that it was only water. He basically said "Tough luck, take it up with the Pro Shop if you have a problem". Great attitude. Neither myself nor my partner saw any signs regarding personal coolers. I put the cooler back in the car.

By the time we hit #10 the couse had stacked up to the point where we had four groups on the hole. When an employee in a cart (another starter) was asked what was being done about it he replied that they didn't have any marshalls but they were trying to work something out. At $90 a round thats not good. Its not a Muni.

Hopefully this was an off day.

Love the course. Great staff. Great course. Very playable for all levels. The course will punish a bad shot but gives you outs though might cost a stroke or two. Like the other person said, A MUST PLAY in the Gulf Shores region.

If you are vacationing in Gulf Shores, Peninsula is a must play. You must drive a bit towards Fort Morgan, but it is worth it. The Pro-Link GPS system in the carts is incredible. Complimentary red delicious apples on #1 of each of the 3 nine hole courses and they are delicious! Very nicely manicured fairways and smooth bermuda greens and a super staff.
