Just finished an annual 4 round tournament in Arizona on 6/2/12. This was our 18th year and we had never played here until this trip. Great course to start with. Great views, great price, great restuarant and was in very good shape. Underrated course that I would reccomend as the non-marquee course of any trip to AZ.

Considered playing this course for many years, and given 2011 is the course's 40th anniversary and all, figured it would be a good opportunity to see it at its finest! NOPE! Save your money.... unfortunately not well cared for, greens in poor shape, could hardly find a rake through 16" of tall grass right next to the bunker on one hole. Weeds everywhere. Patchy fairways...simply looks like no money is being put back into the course! Most importantly, a poor layout... 90 degree dogleg on one hole, lots of blind approach shots... The eighteenth is the worst of all; short par 4 where you literaly have to launch a wedge straight up in the air to get to a blind green. Do not believe the web-site photos...it did not look like that today. I won't bother playing this course again.

Shoots in the 90s

It rained hard the night before we played, so the course was cart path only.

There are lots of elevation changes, with one hole dropping maybe 120 feet from the tee to the green. The ninth fairway had a valley that was about 50 feet lower than the green, which made that one interesting.

With one exception the course was in excellent shape, although the fairway grass seemed a little long. Being wet, there was almsot no roll, so drives were not as long as usual, making this a little tougher than we expected.

All in all, this is one of the more interesting courses we've tried, with good prices and value.

Greens were well maintained, rolled well and had enough break to keep it interesting.

Customer Service

Excellent, except the starter wanted to talk though our first tee shot.

This golf course is in great condition all year. It does have a wierd design and is kinda hard to find if you don't know the area. Its a short course only around 6600 yards. One of the holes has a pot bunker that is about 12 feet deep, if you get in it, don't expect to get up and down. A great down hill par 3 is is tough, but its only 150 yards. If you get a chance to play it, do it.

I play this course every time I visit the Fountain Hills area. Considering all the courses in the general area, I wouldn't recommend this course is you want a great challenge, it's perfect for playing with the wife or if you're in a hurry and want to play nine before your flight home. The greens and fairways are in average conditions, nothing special. Don't expect to be "wowed" by much here. Considering all the other options, this would be at the bottom of my list.

Customer Service

Nice people.
