Real nice track. Except the day we played, 2/17/14 the greens were plastered with green stuff that made them play like a plastic billiard table. Had we been advised of this condition when we made the tee time, we'd have gone somewhere else. Feels like we were cheated

The course was briefly under Troon management (they are excellent as a rule), and has nice elevation changes/topography. Course is a bit narrow and is truly desert golf. I find it to be a bit of a challenge. I think someone called it a resort course-I really can't agree. Kierland, Talking Stick, the Phoenician are resort course, this one is not in my opinion. Nice views-other options are WeKoPa and Eagle Mountain closeby. This course is more difficult than Eagle Mountain, and I prefer WeKoPa over it, but a good course definitely on your short list.

Customer Service

Has always been good, but I have not played it more than 4 times.

For sure this course has great aethetics but feels a bit tricked up in places. Conditioning was top end and driving range was excellent. Truly a resort golf course whose attraction for a second time around would be the spectacular Par 3's.

Customer Service

Very courteous and polite. Lots of water and service on the course.

This is a great course. High in the mountains, with a view that you can't believe unless you golf there. The fairways, greens and tee boxes were in excellent shape. I got to the course at 7:30am and teed off at 7:45am. There was a twosome in front of me and no one behind me. I never saw the 2 guys after the 1st hole and I saw no one behind me. For 18 holes, I was alone playing golf in the desert in Scottsdale. If you believe heaven is a place where you play golf all the time all alone by yourself, then I think I died and went to heaven. Just try to imagine it, golfing all by yourself, no one to slow you down and no one to push you, heaven.

Customer Service

Excellent

Shoot in the 80s

I just returned from a spectacular 4 day golf excursion, courtesy of my wife, for my birthday. We played 6 courses in 4 days: Talking Stick, Las Sendas, Sun Ridge Canyon, Eagle Mountain, Wildfire and Gold Canyon (Dinosaur). Please take the time to read all my reviews.

Sun Ridge Canyon is a must play when you are in Scottsdale. From the care that the staff gives you to the fantastic condition and views from the course. They even provide a Golf Palm Pilot so that you can register all of your shots while getting the correct yardage too. At the end of your round, they have a complete print-out of your round, along with details of every shot. A little pricey ($105 in the summer) but well worth it.
