Customer service was great.

The course design overall is more imaginative than most public courses in the area. However, the design demand precise short iron shots to specific parts of the greens, and when the greens run fast and dry, holding shots to the pins is nearly impossible. Many short par4s where you'll take iron off the tee or try to drive the green, but one bad hop off a hill in the fairway or around the green and you'll find yourself in trouble. Course would be much improved if- 1) The greens were softer to hold shots 2) Mounds lining the fairways weren't so random 3) Par4s were longer with slightly bigger greens.

Some striking, stategic golf holes along with some mundane, good variety, solid value. The greens are difficult with plenty of slope and some downright evil pins every time I go. A good challenge. Only drawback is two of three times I went, can't always count on good lies in fairway.

Not a particularly long course (6,716 yards from the tips), but there are plenty of risk vs. reward plays for long hitters. It's almost as if the course designers dare you to got for it with the driver on several holes including the par 4 9th hole, which is 317 yards from the middle tee boxes. However, for most of us, this is a course that you have to think your way around. Pulling driver out of the bag is not always the right play here. The greens are always in nice shape and fast for a public course. Pin placements can be demanding and three puts are very possible if conditions are dry and you're not sticking your approaches. The price is right. I've never paid more than $50 online for this course. That's a bargain considering what golf costs here during peak.

Customer service (see below) and the course does weave through houses at times. However, the designers thankfully reserved enough real estate to put some distance between the fairways and the houses so only the most errant tee shots end up in someone's back yard.

One of the most underated courses in the valley. If this course was in North Scottsdale, it would command greens fees 2-3 times higher. Very strategic layout with a fair amount of fairway bunkering, water in play on six holes, and demanding greens.

Customer Service

Customer service is not the draw at Kokopelli. If you want valet service, country club locker rooms, mango towels, GPS, and buxom cart girls that follow you around, then this is not the course for you.
