Adobe has charm.

This course is a walking course no carts. You walk up and its first come first serve. When 100 degree days come to Phoenix, the course isn't crowded at all. The winter months, you have to wait at every tee and it gets backed up.

If you need some good balls.... take a walk off to the right and beyond the first hole. I picked up over 10 last week. Then on the 4th and 5th hole, off to the left across the barbed wire fence in the arroyo, you will find a gold mine. But... Watch out for rattle snakes, scorpions and black widows.

Just East of the 7th hole, the dessert looms and I have picked up many more balls there.

The Prairie Dogs are everywhere and I have lost balls down their holes 3 times. They go scurrying around the course and are a fun feature.

Keep your ball on the fairway because the rough is covered with high grass or weeds and you WILL lose your ball or, you will spend a long time looking for it.

On the 9th hole, watch out for the pond. It is deceptively in front of the hole and unless you like swimming in murky slime, kiss your ball goodbye.

The 14 dollar fee isn't bad and if you look old, just say :ONE SENIOR ROUND, and they might give you 2 bucks off.

You can't buy any beer out on the course so bring something to drink.

Steve doesn't like snakes. I've only seen one, and Iowa has bigger night crawlers. I play this course weekly, cuz I'm not good or flush enough to go elsewhere. Well, Palo Verde. No houses here. Really, tho, the people couldn't be nicer, the course is in pretty good shape, and the dirt rodents are a cute touch. They were ALL out this weekend! Their driving range is lighted 'til 10. Out here 2-3X/wk practicing. I should use the chipping green. Then my scores'll drop!
