This is good golf course. It is very wide open and a golfer can score well if he stays out of trouble. Played for around $50 in the middle of the winter which is a very good price since a lot of courses charge well over $100 that time of year.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful

Just a good basic bargain. In the desert atmosphere, it was nice to be on a course with more trees than average. The fairways were pretty generous, and if you went into the rough you were usually on a decent hardpan that didnt penalize you too much. As with many desert courses, there is a carry from the tee box over some scrub brush for 150 yards or so, which can be intimidating if you havent played this kind of course before. All in all, I had a relaxed round.

Another reviewer mentioned the racetrack and airplanes ..... I did not hear either while I wa there, but at certain times this might be annoying.

Falcon is a little out in the boonies, but not a bad drive from Phoenix. In the land of $100+ fees, a course under $40 is a treat. I played in Jan. 2005, and the fariways had plenty of roll (especially since I am used to plugging balls in wet Seattle winters!)

Basic but good.

Nice cheap place to play. It has some holes that can be a pain. If you keep the ball in the short stuff you can really do some scoring. Just hope that a F-16 does not take-off while your in your back swing. Plus there is a new race track next to it. Does not come into play unless you have a very bad pull driver in your bag. Kinda fun to watch cars speeding around while you wait for the slow pokes in front of you, only on 2 holes though.

Narrow fairways, difficult rough

Not a great course, but OK except for rough

An old course, fairly nice, and not very difficult, as long as you stay in the fairways. The rough is sand, dirt and some brush. Lots of traps, greens are average size with not a lot of slope. Not expensive, so it is a good course to play. If you are on the West side of Phoenix, it is a worthwhile course to play.
