Shoots in the 80s

While well conditioned, this course drove me crazy. This is the worst course I've ever played in regard to variety of hole. It has 6 3s either 175 or 215, 5 5s all right at 490, etc. It actually bores me to tears. Played it twice and will not again. It's a bit less expensive for this area, so maybe a good spot for the tight budgeted. Because of that, I gave it a 3 value rating, though I would not consider playing it again.

Customer Service

This was a strong point...the staff was friendly.

Pleasant staff and decent conditions, overall, for the time of year.

Customer Service

All staff I met and spoke to on the phone were really friendly and helpful. However, I carry a discount card and they are listed as a member course. They had no knowledge of that but it may have been a card issue rather than a course issue.

Shoot in the 100s

I Have played this course twice in the last week.
It is a traditional layout with no desert areas to play around. While the layout looks narrow on paper, the rough is virtually all grass, cut about 1-1/2 to 2 inches in length, so minor slices/hooks are not too troublesome. If you have a major slice or hook, you would probably want to stay away from your driver, as the course is surrounded with houses/out of bounds areas.

We just had a pretty good rain on Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday the fairways were still wet. That is unusual for Arizona, where we have pretty good drainage. However, we don't get that much rain, so it might not normally be much of a problem.

Greens and fairways were in good condition. The bunkers have a sort of coarse sand, but it plays about the same as the finer stuff, except you can't plant your feet as well.

The practice facilities are nice, with putting, chipping, and bunker areas. The driving range is limited to irons only.

Carts are required, but they are REALLY COOL! They have GPS and a computer built in which gives distance to tee, a leaderboard, if your in a tournament, and scoring, all reporting back to the clubhouse. When you get near the end of your round, it asks if you want to place an order for lunch, and automatically forwards it to the cafe.

Overall, it was an enjoyable place to play, though probably not overly challenging for better players under drier conditions. It only plays about 6150 yards from the middle tees. Cost is only $44 right now, if you start after noon.
