An absolutely spectacular setting, very challenging greens. An absolute blast to play.

Customer Service

I see that people have had issues with customer service in the past, but as of today, those are long gone. Staff were friendly, helpful and great to deal with.

Great way to start back -- My wife and I enjoyed golf a lot in Houston, but stopped playing for a few years. We jsut got back in, and Las Sendas was the second course we've played in over four years.

As such, it was a little challenging as we were not used to the elevation changes. The course was in great shape, fairways well maintained, and the greens in better shape than I expected. My only complaint is that the rough is mostly rocks or gravel, and I don't want to scrape my clubs through that.

There are several really interesting and beautiful holes that essentially go up the side of a small mountain. These are fun to play, but difficult if you get into trouble.

Tee boxes were well placed, women's tees were in good positions, and we wenjoyed the course.

We found the wildlife interesting, more rabbits than I've ever seen at one time. I began to wonder how many rattlesnakes were around to hunt he rabbits.

Not much water on the course, but good sand traps with good sand consistency.

Customer Service

They try. The temporary set up seems strained, but the staff is accomodating.

Played this course in early October. I agree with an earlier reviewer about the housing lining this course. Too many houses, but what can you do. Had the course been spectacular, maybe I wouldn't have noticed the houses. There are a couple of nice holes but I wasn't wowed like at other courses in the area. We got this course at a good price. If you can get it for a good price, I think it's worth it. Course was in decent shape for that time of year. One cool thing about this course was the wildlife. There are roadrunners, lizards and rabbits on every hole. The rabbits are pretty tame and I teed off about four feet from one and he didn't even move after one of my signature titanic drives. Needless to say this was a source of much laughter for the rest of the trip.

Customer Service

I see people ripping the service here. We had to laugh because when arrived, the guy in the pro shop said we could go right off - no waiting. When we got out to the first tee he wasn't kidding. There was no starter! We waited a few, and then said screw it and we went off! I mean, I don't care but it was kind of funny. Had a good Brat in the clubhouse.

Variety, difficulty, etc are all present. There are many holes on which you can be extra proud of a good score. The greens are usually quite a bit faster than most. You MUST think your way around this course, pick layups often. If you play this track to avoid trouble first, you can shoot alright. But trouble is aplenty. Course has become a bit more affordable over the three years I've lived in the valley. Cart paths are mostly dirt which can be a problem for some with breathing disorders. I'd like to rate it a 3-1/2, but since I cannot, I'll go with a 4

Customer Service

Probably the worst I've encountered in the valley, which detracts from the experience.

I played there in June 04 for about $25. I had heard the course was very difficult, and it is. But the reason the course was difficult in large part is because of all the blind shots, which I hate. Also, the course was in terrible shape, terrible. Staff was rude, overall a lousy experience.

If you don't mind riding in a cart and looking at mundane painted houses lining the fairways this course is for you. After hearing good things about this course I was disappointed. Yes there are some beautiful views here but who wants a ride in the neighborhood. When I play golf I want to get away from houses. Every house seemed to be the same color. This could be an exceptional course had not some developer got his noise in the design. Cart paths were broken in many places. Grass was burnt out and there were many bare spots. Pro shop personnel could care less if you come back.

Customer Service

I don't think they give a damn.

Read great reviews about this course before I left. However, after playing this course, I won't go back. The greens were in the worst shape I've ever seen. They looked like they had gone through a hail storm. I don't know if they had a tournament there recently or what, but they were terrible. Your ball wouldn't roll on line. Glad we only pain $25 for this course. Staff needs to buy a personality.

Customer Service

Horrible. Too bad b/c the course is nice

Shoot in the 80s

I just returned from a spectacular 4 day golf excursion, courtesy of my wife, for my birthday. We played 6 courses in 4 days: Talking Stick, Las Sendas, Sun Ridge Canyon, Eagle Mountain, Wildfire and Gold Canyon (Dinosaur). Please take the time to read all my reviews.

There are 2 parts to my review of Las Sendas.

The first part is about the course itself. This is a spectacular course. The views are tremendous, the greens trecherous, the fairways ondulating and the course condition was perfect. A warning on the greens. You have NEVER played greens that are this difficult to putt on. Not because of the condition - they were perfect - but because of the way the ball breaks when you least expect it to. I saw a few putts break 4 inches in the last inch before the hole!

Unfortunately part two deals with the staff. We will not return again because of the way they treated people. They were rude, uncaring and never gave you a second of their time. Except for Frank(one of the Marshals) the rest would not even acknowledge you were there. In the proshop, I waited 20 minutes for the pro behind the counter to ring up my purchase - he was talking to an attractive young lady and could not be bothered! We paid $95 to play and still had to pay $6.00 for range balls! No yardage books, not cooler. Too bad, because the course is worth it. Will not return.

Customer Service

Horrible Customer Service. Should take a lesson in Customer Service from Talking Stick's Staff.

Shoot in the 80s

This time of year (July) in Arizona they usually let the rough grass go dormant because its Rye and just keep the fairways green but not here. The rough and fairways and greens are very well manicured and maintained. The course is not difficult if you get a yardage book in the pro shop and remember that in the southwest we play "target" golf. Landing areas and exact yardages are critical to shooting low scores. Just because its a 440 yard par 4 doesn't mean you hit your driver for all it's worth. This course has alot of hidden/blind tee shot/landing areas so read the book. The greens are fast and they usually all break toward the valley since its a mountain course.

Customer Service

Knowledgable staff, very helpful.
