This is a facility with two nine-hole courses. The long course plays about half the distance of a typical 18-hole course, while the short course is more of a "pitch and putt" type of play.

I played the long course a week ago, paying $15. We just walked on at 3:00 pm and got right to the tee. It wasn't busy at all.

This is a very flat layout, with a few mature trees to make it more interesting. There are some water hazards, which look a lot like ponds used to water livestock. There was little vegatation around them.

The course is in pretty bad condition. There seems to be some sort of irrigation problem, as many areas of the fairway were flooded, although we had not had any rain in weeks. There were lots of bare areas on the rough, and many areas of ground under repair.

The greens were in good condition, but were pretty slow. They were cut a little longer than other courses in the area.

I occassionally use this course for a practice round, as most 9-hole courses in the Phoenix area do not play very long, and because it is seldom a problem walking in and getting on the tees. But if you are looking for anything more than practice, I would recommend Riverview Golf Course, a couple miles south in Mesa.

After our round at about 5:30 on Sunday, there was no place to get a soda or anything other than water, as the restaurant was closed and there were no soda machines.
