Shoots in the 80s

played it last weekend (heard it's a busy course and that held true for the first 9 holes). after playing nearby hillcrest, this baby was like striking gold.

since it's away from the city, it does have more of the desert feel, but still surrounded by homes. i loved both 9's... the front starts off with no views of any other holes except the one infront of you. that changes a little bit on the back as the holes parallel each other looping you back to the club house.

the greens were freaking fast and meant more break even on a 2 footer. you can really struggle on this course if you're not shooting straight, but the shortness of the course helps out a bit. it was crazy windy which made it even tougher, but died down on the back.

i haven't had this much fun on a course in a while. every hole made you think and there wasn't a drop off from shot values from hole to hole. this is a great course!

Customer Service

friendly. gps on carts help out a lot too.

Shoots in the 100s

Just got back into playing regularly again. Played Coyote Lakes last week for the first time in about 10 years. It's just as I remember it. The course was in great condition considering the onset of higher temps here. The greens were very fast, but well maintained with little to no bare spots. Got a new driver a month ago and went to Coyote Lakes to test accuracy off the tee. Played from the tips and had no problems keeping it in play with mid-irons into greens (drives were consisitently 250+ yards). Rusty iron work kept me from scoring well. But the opportunities are there and any decent player who can putt could really do well here. GPS on the carts was a plus with exact yardage available from anywhere on the course. A nice deterrent to going out and spending the money on a personal unit for someone who likes to play a home course often.

Customer Service

Customer service was excellent. Very friendly and even humorous. Much appreciated from someone who's usually got the Ranger following him around.

Model Reviewed: Coyote Lakes 18 back tees

I've played this course several times. They really do a good job at keeping the course green. The greens were moderate speed when I played. The 7th hole has a nice rock wall that elevates the green about 10-12 feet. Most of the holes are full of rolling hills and a few taper down into lakes. There are a few holes that require a lake carry; a hole that requires a lake carry for par possibility (15th hole I believe). The course itself is challenging with the greens and tees at elevation. The course is also not very wide and is basically lined with houses - a powerful hit with bad strike could have you repairing someones window! This is also slightly target golf. Overall, great course and I will continue to play there so long as it isn't to crowded. There is a marshall that roams around. Oh yeah, $13 six packs of beer...:( But the carts do have coolers full of ice and to bottles of water :)

Customer Service

No issues.

Shoot in the 80s

This coures is a nice layout for a desert run. I played the back tees (6100 yards) and the course if very playabe from this distance. Green were a little rough but that is expected in summer here. Facilities are good and the staff was efficient and courteous. Most tees are elevated and this is a course that you need to play more than once to shoot your best score. This was my first time and I'll go back.
