Got great green fee deal on golfnow.com. Tees are chewed up and uneven. Greens are really fast and tight. Some greens have more moss than others. Greens in direct sunlight don't seem to have as much. A little wet for having such a wet winter. In a bad economy it is doing the best that it can. Great cups on the greens. Tight fairways. Watch out for rattlesnakes. Saw one after the first green on the way to the 2nd tee. Yikes! Great topography. Great views of the foothills. Great placement of holes within terrain. First time was fun. Best holes were 1st and 10th holes. Split the fairway both holes and got on the green in 2. Made par on both. Back nine is more fun than front nine. Great practice putting green. It has the really small practice cup too. They should just let the greens go to poa like they will eventually. Moss will take over the greens. Hello Mancozeb. Members probably don't care. Or maybe they do. Golf is about dealing with adversity. The more sunlight on a green the less moss will be there.

Great golf course. I've played it twice. The greens are not extremely fast, but very challenging. Great course layout.

This was not the course I expected. Now known as Auburn Country Club, this former members only course just opened up to public play, so I was excited to finally play it. The fairways and greens were average in terms of maintenance, I know some area municpal courses in better shape. Nice foothills valley setting, not a bad layout, forgiving on most holes, and most greens were challenging. Recent heavy rains soured playing conditions. Not the country club aspect I expected, I likely will not go back.

A great course to play, if you know a member. The fairways are forgiving but don't get too excited....the greens are very tricky!

One of the most beautiful courses I have played during my 8 years of golf.
