Only played once so far. Place had the best views. Stocked up my Facebook album out there. A lot of really interesting hole designs. Theyve redone the greens maybe last year. They are really nice now. Not a power course. Its called Links for a reason. You hit everything but driver here so be prepared.

Customer Service

Great service. Free bottles of water and a sleeve of balls. People were friendly.

I liked this course even though I played I don't think I got the full test -- the day I played it was sunny, in the 50s and the wind just a breeze. The course would be a lot tougher with some rain and wind in your face. It's a great course to walk, if you're in shape. If you're not, don't even think it -- take a cart or the first four holes will kill you. The view, though, from the top is phenomenal, the best on a course with a lot of great views. There are things you see too much of -- houses. They can make the fairways seem narrower than they really are, particularly on the front. The last three holes are worth the price of admission -- you can hear the waves crashing on the beach, and the holes are well-designed to boot.

Customer Service

OK, but tough to tell. The course was nearly deserted when I played and there wasn't much staff around either.

Better hope the kiosk at the turn is open. Snacks and drinks in the lounge are pricey.

Robert trent Jones Jr. learned from the best and many of the seniors traits can be seen at Bodega Harbour. The course is set along the ocean an hour north of SF and wind is always a factor. Many of the holes feature uphill approach shots to greens that are surrounded by bunkers and undulated. The course plays longer than listed and is cut out amongst the many houses , which was the only part I did not enjoy. Numbers 16-18 are great finishing holes with ocean views and tough. A typical RTJ JR. course along the ocean.

Without question, Bodega Harbour is one of the great golf courses in California. Set on a spectacular piece of land overlooking the Sonoma coast, it would be breaktaking just for the views. But then you have to swing a club. This is one of Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s most fascinating designs, and if you have played Poppy Hills you will understand his clever mounding and routing. You must be on your game to play this course, and locals have a real advantage knowing just where to place each shot. In that sense, Bodega Harbour reminds me of a gem in Scotland you might discover while wandering around, looking for a single malt whiskey distillery. You'll need the whiskey. Much charm and character, this course is a journey to another time and place. Worth noting: Until recently, the course record was only 68 becuause it is so challenging.

Customer Service

In a league with Pebble Beach, Cog Hill and any great national facility.

A beautiful challenging par 70 course. Course rolls and tumbles through the hills overlooking Bodega Harbor. Great diversity. Very little water. More challenge uphill than down. Mostly target golf. The downhill holes play open and you can use the driver. Some risk/reward holes. Course should be played by those shooting 90 or better. Tees and fairways are in exceptional shape. I wish I could say the same about the greens which are way below standard. Greens were slow, bumpy and rutted. Balls would hop and skip all over the place making putting an adventure. Greens are complex and multi-tiered. Houses on some of the fairways take away some of the ambience and beauty and play tends to back up on 16 and 17 due to the fact that you have to unpack and hike to those holes with the clubs you need. If you want a good hike you can walk the course. No driving range. Range cage. Nice practice greens. Paid $50 with West Coast value book. I think it is about $60 normally. A nice course, good and challenging worth playing.

A beautiful and challenging course with an overabundance of sand traps, and varying terrain. Players with any sense of ball control can enjoy this course. Rates are fair for the level of quality.

Staff was friendly; came out to the parking lot to offer bag tags.

This is the real deal - a genuine links course that you won't have to take out a second mortgage to play. The best course in California, North or South, and I have played most of them. Forget Pebble at $375 a shot or whatever, and forget Spanish Bay with its shipped in sand and artificial mounding. This place is natural and is beautiful, windy and seaside. Views are awesome. You can choose your poison as far as the wind goes - play in the morning and score or play in the afternoon and make sure you have a chin strap for your hat, you will shoot 15 strokes higher.

Customer Service

Everyone is nice and relaxed here cause it is out in the sticks

Really great course with ocean views on almost every hole. Maintenace of fairways and greens were pretty good. Front nine holes are totally different from the back nine. The front nine is very hilly and your tee shots are mostly uphill. Back nine is flatter with some elevation changes. The best hole of the front nine is the 5th hole which is a par 5 double dog-legged, downhill twister which is very reachable in two for an eagle attempt. The 16th and 18th holes are the best of the back nine. The 16th is a short par 4 which is reachable for long drivers if you can carry the wetlands and the bunker in front of the green, either way this is a good scoring hole. The 18th has to be one of the best finishing holes I've ever played. It is a dog-leg right to a small downhill green by the coast. Overall it isn't too difficult of a course unless the wind is blowing and the fog rolls in.

Customer Service
