I picked a great day to play golf today. Played with a charming Sri Lankan fellow who I really got along great with. He could hit the ball with the best of them too. I am so thankfult that I asked to play through the group in front of us after the 1st hole. They were slow. The course was green. Dark green. I have a feeling that they fertilized this week or last week and it is starting to kick in. They could have mowed fairways back on friday and the turf has grown out of it quickly because of the fertilizer. Lots of canadian geese dung all around the course. Greens were rolling decently. I enjoyed the 14th hole. They decommissioned the old 14th uphill green and I guess that they are going to make it a tee for the 4th hole. That will add distance to the 4th hole. Birdied the 11th hole with my partner. Parred the 16th hole. Hit the drive over the center oak tree and had a 7 iron into the green. Par on that hole is worth a skin or two. Nice breezy cool day and it was fun to play with someone who was fun to be with. I wish that there was not so much goose dung.

Accomodating pro shop staff. They don't use the announcement speaker when calling groups to the tee. We got out as a 3 some when 4 somes are usually sent out. Don't let the bartender distract you from what you are ordering. She will make your eyes go where they probably shouldn't go. The sights are better than nothing.

Long but fair course with lots of trees. Fair number of long par 4's. Nice elevated PAR 3. Condition of fairways and greens not the best. Greens were medium in speed. Some drainage problems in some fairways. Overpriced for not very well maintained County municpal course. Nice quiet surroundings, did not seem over crowded at all.

Fair, only 1 person in pro shop but was proficient at his job at getting customers to the tee.

Loved this course the last couple times I played there. It is in very good shape and I believe they have done a lot of work to improved this course in the last couple of years. My only complaint is the slow pace of play. Both times I played took FOREVER! Can't complain about the course though, it was in great shape.

Driving range is cheap and they have a nice chip/sand shot area.

Holes number 3 and 13 are about the best looking golf holes in Sacramento.

The crab grass is taking over the course again - starting in August.

They rebuilt No. 17 green a couple of years ago. The green is totaled.

The County just rebuilt No. 8 and 15 greens. They reopened in 2000. They are a total disaster.

Otherwise this is a very good, long course.

Beauty, layout, price, and level of difficulty.

Time of play, slow greens, available drinking water.

Overall layout of the holes are excellent. Wonderfull large trees line the fairwys and can come into play on many approach and tee shots. Golfers of all levels will enjoy this muni coarse especially with the resonable price. Where the coarse falls short is in the following areas: time of play is often 6 hours!, green are slow and can be un-true as a result, available water on hot and humid days.

Price, course condition, variety of holes, beautiful mature course.

Greens not too difficult.

Probably one of my favorite courses. It is a mature course and very well maintained. Lots of variety. I really enjoy one of the par 3's (14th I think) that is approx 120 yards but the green is quite elevated. Take 1 club more than you think. Price if comparable to courses in the area. Good challenge for golfers of all ranges. Putting greens usually in very good condition and overall not too difficult.

Layout. Use most of the clubs in your bag.

Course maintenance. Greens can be very poorly kept. Best in the Spring.

Course layout is excellent but maintenance of fairways and greens is problematical. Poor in the summer and early fall. This is a county muni and the county isn't spending any money on it.
