Shoots in the 100s

This course is set in a picturesque backdrop of trees and wildlife. The first thing you see upon entering is that the driving range is all over water. That about where the novelty of water ends. The first nine follows a creek constantly to your right, which seems to have a magnet drawing in every sliced shot and bad run. It quickly becomes the bane of any beginner's existence. The back nine has a much more calming layout with many opportunities to lower your score with relative ease. Overall, its a nice little course with a few challenges here and there. A must see for nature lovers.

Shoots in the 100s

This is a beautiful place to spend the day. The course seemed to challenge the more experienced golfers in my party. The creek down the right side of almost every hole intimated those with a tendency to slice. The large trees also had to be negotiated on some holes. The fairways were well-kept, if a bit wet in some places. I was able to use the fairway woods without resistance. The greens were also well-maintained but many were too difficult to read for a beginner like me.

Customer Service

Very friendly.

I am going to arrive early next time to try out the driving range. I want to see if I can clear the lake!

Tight Par 71 course set in the Castro Valley Hills. Good weekday price of $20.00. I know a couple guys who HATE this course, due to the tight layout and creek that runs up the right side of almost every hole you play on the front nine. (Slicers beware!) I think it is a great challenge and makes you pay the price for being too aggresive. Pretty course too. Lush trees and wildlife. I've seen deers, bunnies, foxes and quail. The 14th hole is a 270+ yard par 4 that has you shooting for the green and gets aced every once in awhile. (No..not by me!)

The range is a little different. You hit into a large pond with "floater" balls.
