Played 2/26/07.
Fun course. Not too hard, but not too easy either. Played the Lakes & Mountain courses. Mountain couse is a bit more difficult and interesting. You need to do a little course management. There is a fair amount of water on both mountain and lakes courses. Playable by most all handicap levels. Maybe not for a total beginner. Conditions are so-so. Fairways a bit thin, with dirt here and there. Do not be misled by the practice putting green, as actual greens are not as nice. However, overall, conditions are good. Not as good as Tahquitz Creek. This course seems to get a lot of play in the winter from snowbirds who stay in the condos for a few months. They must get a better rate. Cost is $85, cart only. Look for discounts. All in all a nice course.

Our threesome played the Arroyo / Lakes course on Sunday Sept. 17th 9:30am tee time.

At this time of the year, the Mountain course was closed due to overseeding. We PREFER to play the Arroyo (Links style) & Lakes (Water Hazzards). It is a very forgiving golf course so don't let the slope ratings scare you. EVERYONE can play this course & enjoy their round fore the day.

Most sprinkler heads have been re-marked for correct yardages. The greens are under repair for the Arroyo 9 holes. The speed of the greens L(0)(0)ked fast but the reality was on the slow side.

We stayed @ the resort, our rate was $18.00 included cart! Can't beat that. Incredible views of the cochella valley! :)

Current scorecard for the Arroyo / Lakes WHITE & RED tee boxes: 6021 yds. 121 slope 68.8 rating 5183 yds. 124 slope 70.1 rating.

Staying at the Lawrence Welk Resort was very covienent! The rooms have been remodeled and a full kitchen for your stay.

From the resort, simply drive to the clubhouse parking lot.

Customer Service

What suprised us there was no cart beverage service while we played our round of golf.

We kept the pace during our round & never encountered any "Marshalls" or course "Ambassadors".

The Clubhouse has been renovated since we last played there during the summer of 2000.

nothing too exciting about this course and nothing too challenging. i played it in the summer, it was hot but no one around which made it nice for me and my son to play right through. so we decided to come back in late october and play it again and had a bad experience the marshall was all over our group to hurry up, it was the weekend and play was slow and he wanted us to hurry up we couldnt go any faster than the group in front us. he told us to tee off into another group,so we did!! i hit a bomb close to that group and the guy in that group picks up my ball now i am looking for my ball with the marshall telling me to hurry, what a jerk. also i will not play this course in the fall or winter all of the residents are there and tell you how to play. Overall nice course nothing to special plays through a river bed whch washes out in the winter. a little rain and the fairays are in bad shape

Shoots in the 80s and this is the best course in the world? It's an ok desert track. Nothing special. Built in the riverbed and through a condo development. Nothing special.

Course is in pretty good shape except for the Sand Traps which are either wet with standing water in them, or as hard as the cart path.
