I will start by saying this course was in good shape. Nice classic type course, with elevation changes and twisting fairways. The only thing that makes this course a little tough is the creek that runs along most holes. 1 bad shot can cost you. The greens roll true and are pretty quick. Fairways were in good shape and very wide on back 9. What I did not like was that the greens are so soft you can stick a 3 iron 2 inches from where it hits the green. The rough or lack there of does not pose a threat. The only thing to worry about are the trees and creek. Also there is no need to play a driver on any holes. there is 1 par 4 longer than 400 yards. Course is to short for my tast. Of the par 3's, I never needed to change clubs, 9 iron on all 3. My recomendation is to grow the rough, harden the greens and this course will be a nice challange. And while there at it, please fix the tee boxes. For a private club they are worst than every muni I have played. I wont give the course a bad rating, because it can be toughened up by playing not for birdi. Try to birdi fest by wedging every green and the trees will bite you.

Customer Service

This is the best kept secret in private clubs in California. The price of admission is low (relatively) the green fees are very reasonable, there is no food minimum, it is an equity membership, and the course is phenomenal, a classic tree-lined twisty canyon course. The greens are the best anywhere, smooth, fast and soft. Folks, it just doesn't get any better than this.
